UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Or complain to Amazon since it's their packaging at fault and get them to send you another one. I've never had any problems doing that with things damaged in transit from them.

Anyone else having problems with their KlK 3 box? Mine arrived today from Amazon and I seem to be having the same problem as the MCM stock of the digipack being wedged and being difficult to remove from the chipboard box.

I received an email from Jeremy today stating there was a warehouse delay with my Tiger & Bunny: The Rising order. I presume the same with KLK Part 3.
I appreciate delays can happen, just leave my Dandy out of the delays. :)

Are you wedging them in with the vol 1 and vol 2 o-rings/belly bands still on? If so, try them without.

Other than that, mine fit perfectly.

The collection box is fine and I got rid of the belly bands. The problem is that the artbook and digipack are extremely difficult to remove from the vol3 box just as described with the MCM stock.

Ah, right, I'm with you now. I need to check mine, I haven't had it out of the box yet. Working away until Friday but will check when I'm back.

Try putting the artbook in so the spine is facing the bottom of the box is my suggestion?

I had similar with my copy in the office (which is super weird but believe it or not that fixed it).

Thanks Andrew, that seems to have done the job, even putting it back in required less force.

Suprised that this could be a semi-issue though after adding 0.5mm to the width of the box as that is a significant amount with regards to tollerance, even 0.05mm can have a big effect.

related: I've got the MCM version and whilst I'm waiting for the corrected box to show up I found that re-ordering the contents as in the image below allowed the contents to be easily removed from all boxes. Temporary work-around I guess.

(apologies if images aren't meant to be added to this thread. If that is the case let me know and I'll delete).

Is the Aoharu x Machinegun license just for streaming or does it count as physical too? orrr can you not say yet? :p

Do you have any other titles to announce for streaming this season? (Gangsta ..maybe? ;) )

We discussed this a few pages back about Seraph of the End and Heroic Legend of Arslan, apparently AL (or it might have been Andrew Partridge himself) has made statements saying they don't see the point in just licensing streaming rights to a series.

The wording on the press releases for both were less than clear though, so maybe we were wrong about Seraph and Arslan. (Although if this column from ANN is true I can see why AL might want to avoid press releases.)

The one part of the whole deal that makes me think is that when I asked about A/L having Gundam Reconguista in G physical rights as well as streaming, they were confirmed as not having them but it was something that might be working on (or something close to those lines)

That article was something else, interesting.

Maybe they simply wanted to make it available for streaming but didn't want to commit to a home video release with anyone. Sunrise have a deal in place with Rightstuf for Gundam releases stateside, so maybe hear more about it if/when a partnership is made with someone in the UK.

[Wakes up abruptly] Did somebody say 'Gundam'?

Really an interesting time in the West for Gundam. I keep reading up on stuff to do with the deal between RightStuf! and Sunrise, and soem fo the language in articles leaves me VERY hopeful that we'll get a lot of stuff we haven't previously had.

That said, there's obviously still a way to go. I'd not been aware that Anime Limited didn't have physical media / home video rights for G Reco.

Dagnammit.

EDITED TO ADD: That column on ANN is always a fantastic (if slightly uncomfortable) read - it's given me a ton of much needed insights since it started up.

I was under the impression that Anime Limited had the equivalent of the Rightstuf deal for the UK market. Maybe I'm mistaken...

Wait, who said I didn't have physical rights for G-Reco?

Take from Viewster's facebook page

Does that mean it's on the app to stream and anime limited will make the DVD?
Viewster: Yep!

How many channels are the English dub in Tokyo Ghoul - Collector's Edition?

It's 2.0 or 5.1?

I don't know if this blu-ray is the same as the space dandy which is 2.0 in English dub and funimation BD is 5.1。

They're using Funi's master for Tokyo Goul, so the content will be near enough identical. Short answer, 5.1.

Dandy was a bit of a peculiar one since it was released here before Funi released it in America. I can only assume the 5.1 upmix was not available when production started on the home video release (The JP BDs have stereo engdub too). I don't have a surround setup personally, but I preferred the stereo track since I find the sound levels on Funi's 5.1 mixes to be all over the place (too quiet most of the time and then too loud the next).
