It's a general opinion. Obviously, a lot of people (including myself) think highly of Cowboy Be-bop, therefor it got a very high rating. I don't like InuYasha, I've seen quite a bit of it and decided my opinion, if it got an 8 then generally quite a few people liked the first few episodes...
