Get's better. The official response?

That's a terrible way to phrase it given Jo Cox was killed by a Neo Nazi who branded her a traitor.

At this point that's less "He's a fudwit" and more "We agree but we could never get away with saying that on camera"

And, frankly, even if it isn't the case the Tories have painted themselves in the colour of baby eating ogres to the point where it might as well be.

Jo Cox is going to happen again, mark my words.

It's also definitely true that she cares the least for individual freedoms of any Prime Minister during my lifetime, and sees the economy as a lower priority than any of the others too (I was born while Thatcher was PM).

Well that's grand, I was born whilst Gorbachev was still General Secretary, yet I still sense the faint smell of glasnost and chernobyl in the air, though with one still barely lingering. Thats neither here nor there. Lets be more concerned on retaining the regula- (Woops) single market, then the potential cost of £170-180bn on the replacement of the Vangard submarines to a threat that doesn't exists

That's a terrible way to phrase it given Jo Cox was killed by a EU plant just like 2003 in Sweden.

There, I've put my pennys worth of conspiracy theory

You mean those subs parked north of glasgow which would glass said city if they went off by accident? (I know that's tradent, potato pohtato)

Not sure what you're getting at there. I put that bit in to make it clear what I was talking about in the "in my lifetime" bit.

I'm not sure how any of this is conspiracy theory. May's government is frighteningly transparent.

No one wishes to live to see such times but if they should live to see them they must be called out for what they are.

Regarding that petition (which is really just yet another case of that site showing how it is open to anyone prepared to put their name to something stupid), an unnamed Guildford councillor has been suspended from the local Conservative group. This petition was created by a Guildford Conservative councillor. Hmm..,

May didn't condemn it, she passively agreed with it. That says volumes. An opportunity to send a clear message on the stance her government takes and she coddles the mentality.

Sorry, that's cause for concern.

So you was a privatised baby?

The very same, I don't know whether any of the stationed subs hold any as opposed to the one that always patrols. Interesting thing I read that one of the ways they know the UK's not succumb to fallout is by listening to Radio 4 still broadcasting. :D

Despicable as racism is, that's not really in any way related to the thread topic unless you believe Brexit is inherently racist. Which I think plenty of people have pointed out itt, it isn't.

Meanwhile the EU tries to railroad through a hyper-capitalist free trade deal against the wishes of the people of Wallonia and Socialists in general.

"Worker's Rights" and "Democracy" include handing power to multi-national corporations against the wishes of citizens now?

My point is that while the Tories are certainly crony-capitalist corporate stooges, frankly the EU leaders are also proving themselves to be crony-capitalist corporate stooges as well, rather than the benevolent utopian socialists a lot of the remain camp liked to paint them as.

In, out, I honestly don't believe it's going to make much of a difference any more, at least not while the EPP and the status-quo loving bureaucracy are in charge. Which seems like it's going to be for ever.

And apparently the banks are leaving, if so good riddance. Perhaps then our economy won't be 90% geared towards kissing the arses of the financial sector and built on creating virtual debt servitude in most of the population.

Funny that, I got a letter through today offering me a fast loan with minimal credit checks, no worries about poor credit history or CCJs, with a representative 538% APR. I am so going to clean up on AL's Ultimate Editions this year!

Frankly it's turned into Hobson's Choice. Stay in the EU and the British People have no control, it's all in the hands of unelected Eurocrats. Leave the EU and the British People have no control, it's all in the hands of the new unelected Tory party, leading with their battlecry of 'The People Chose, The People Chose". No, the people didn't choose. 52% of the electorate that could be bothered to vote that day chose, and for you that's as firm a mandate as the communist party wielded in the Soviet Union. Frankly, it's short term stability inside Europe, and chaos outside. But the European project is falling apart anyway. Too many political differences. The only way it can work is going back to the EEC of the seventies and eighties.
