I take it instead of a Newswire this week we shall get the podcast?
I'm hoping for no (or only a little) delay for Lucky Star.
Being totally honest, I've been proper snowed under with work this week so there likely won't be a Newswire until next week now. Not the way I wanted it to work our, but sometimes that's just how things go. We did get a podcast recorded yesterday, so am hoping to have it up sometime over the weekend, all going well. Otherwise might be early next week.

I can save the effort, it's delayed and I'll confirm by how much when I'm done checking how long getting that disc will take + changing the spec of the packaging as we were a good way into a 3-tray digipack, now I need a 4 tray.

My guess is Japan will get theirs first, and the fact it is English friendly will cause the Kickstarter comments page to rage and riot lol.
Waiting to hear back from Japan about a few things, will have a bit more info in the backer's update next week

That's good to hear.
Just remember that copying the 5th DVD disc from Funimation's release doesn't mean that you have all of the remaining extras. There are a few on the 4th disc.

These unforeseen delays are such a huge shame! You guys were able to cut down on delays by a huge amount & everything was going quite nicely, then all of these issues cropped up, seemingly very quickly & by surprise.
I don't mind it personally, I can wait but that must've been hell at the office ...

Basically on one side - print takes longer now in August even (used to be end of September) so the Christmas rush has shifted back basically - which took everyone by surprise so turnaround has increased so it's sent the best laid plans to pot...

Not their fault for the most part. Most of the delays are due to the printers capacity being used up for the Christmas tat like the Guinness Book of Records and Top 10 of Everything.

So if I want all the extras I should just get FUNis? And not wait as that is already out?
Everyone is free to make the consumer choices they want - that said if you are doing it literally for two textless sequences not being included, that's a bit unfortunate really and I'm sorry you feel that way! That said we simply can't go and throw a random DVD in with episodes included because:
A) Complaints from fans as it would make no sense without the other DVDs.
B) It would mean as a result of (A) we would need to reauthor the other DVD to include them (time + effort + money)
So the most logical path is to transfer the DVD which is 100% extras and has no episodes and to unfortunately lose two extras that I at least hope would not be in the highest demand (as annoying as it is to lose any extras).
Either way, Funimation wins out of it by you buying one edition or the other though
. We alas do not though but again that's your choice and we can only do so much to keep folks happy before we start losing money .AP

It's not like I don't have other shows to watch in the mean time. Hell, you've already seen it yourself, so there shouldn't be any rush for it.
A lot of people around here can probably gather I'm not generally bothered by delays unless they're ridiculous (Like the delay for Nisekoi S2, for example). Honestly, if it's still coming sometime this year, I'll be alright.
