Not as much of a joke as you thought it was. With me it's not even weekly shows that would apply to: I took so long to watch Redline and Spice and Wolf II that I got kinda lost and may need to start overilmaestro said:You just need to watch enough weekly shows that by the time you're finished, you're ready to start again.fabricatedlunatic said:While it's possibly a symptom of my aversion to the frustrating drip-feed that is weekly-airing anime, I'm finding it annoyingly slow.
I watched episode 6 last night and had the same thing with the OP audio. It worried me because I thought it might bleed over into the episode itself, but thankfully it didn't. There was also about ten minutes of distracting motion judder (mostly apparent during pans) in the first half of episode 4 or 5. I don't know if it's an issue with the DVD or the source material.Rui said:Tatami Galaxy 1-6
An extremely enjoyable show, and aside from some weird echoing audio on the OP of episode 6 (perhaps it was just me..? I think one episode of House of Five Leaves had this too for one ED) it's pretty much reference quality for how a UK release should be in every way. I'll finish it off later in the week and then lament the fact that Beez seem to have disappeared just after bringing this delightful show over here. I love the retro feel to the visuals and the experimental presentation, it's simply a joy to watch.
fabricatedlunatic said:The show itself is visually striking, but abstract to an extent that I feel somewhat alienated from the characters and plot. I don't even recall the main character's name (is it even revealed?), and can't say I care about him and the Groundhog Day-esque scenario in which he's forced to repeat the same two misspent years at University and lament the same missed opportunities forever and ever and ever (or at least until the end of the show). The only thing about the show I do like is the subtle dialogue-based comedy, which makes a change from the usual loud, obnoxious brand favoured my most anime.
