Space Brothers - Episode 54

Hopefully the last of the recap episodes, 3 on the trot is too many.

Gun Sword - Episodes 10 - 12

I enjoyed these episodes, Gun Sword is going up in my eyes.

Anyway, watched episode 2 and 3 of Gargantia. It's not too bad. I like the character interactions but I'm not too fond of the fights. Though the scene where he spins Lukkage's mech round in circles was quite funny.

It seems decent, but I find the main girl kind of annoying. She reminds me too much of Nadia.

Fate Zero - Episode 1 (DUB)

That... was actually pretty good...
As someone who didn't like the UBW or F/SN Dub at all (from what I watched of it) Aniplex did a pretty good job with this one. The only voice I found annoying was Waver's.

I can see why but I don't really mind her as much I thought I would. I like how
she didn't really blow the whole 'Led/Ledo (whatever the hell his name is) killing people' too much out of proportion. They just explained things and proceeded to deal with it
. It's a still a bit early anyway but I intend to stick with this until the end. I'm interesting in seeing how they manage to fit it into 12 episodes.

That's true, actually. They didn't make such a big thing of that as they might have.

I was kind of hoping they might shoehorn in a T2-style, "I swear I will not kill anyone", but I guess that might have screwed with the tone.

The Devil is a Part-Timer ep1-2

'Satan works at McDonalds' turns out surprisingly low-key and sensible, given its premise. So far, it's derived a lot of humour from offsetting its bizarre setup against the characters' logical behaviour, but it's never really delivered any big laughs for me. The second episode also brought in a couple of more serious plot developments whose worth I'm not sure of. I'll give it at least another episode anyway.

Haganai ep1-4

Hmm. Plenty of smutty laughs and the fan-service hasn't been as intrusive as I was led to believe, but with episode 4 introducing three characters in quick succession, I feel this could fall into harem territory at any given moment. I do like Marina Inoue's turn as one of the main characters though. Despite having heard her in other things, this is the first time I've really been aware of her voice.

I'm up to episode 3 and feel the same way about the serious plot developments. The premise and most of the happenings of first three episodes are just too farcical to make it work. I was expecting the show to be all-out comedy but it looks as though the humour will be receding farther and farther into the background as the series progresses.

Yeah, the (sort of) serious scenes at the beginning weren't badly done, but they felt like an awkward marriage with the comedy. If it starts heading that way, I'll likely just drop it.

(re-watch)Vampire Princess Miyu tv series episodes 6-15,not as good as the OVA but still a damn fine watch after all these years, also watched Kamen Rider Stronger episodes 1-5.

Watched 3 episodes of Aiura. It's pretty boring and the voice acting isn't very good. I'd drop this if it wasn't a short.

Also watched the first two episodes of Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. The two main girls are cute and the op is done by Tamura Yukari so that's more than enough reason for me to watch it. It's somewhat entertaining despite the silly premise.

I thought the ova wasn't released over here?

more yu yu hakusho tomorrow
Sadly as far as i know the OVA has never seen the light of day in the UK since the VHS days, would be great little release for the UK market, the region 1 dvds are still quiet easy to get hold of though.
