Gun Sword - Episode 7

A quarter of the way through and I'm really not sure what to make of Gun Sword, what I like the most about it so far is that the Japanese track is in DTS 5.1!

A Certain Scientific Railgun - Episodes 1-6

If the Manga is in Chronological order, then J.C. Staff really went all over the place with this one. One moment it's material from one volume, then another, then part of another, then eventually back to where it should be.

I was bit disappointed with the adaptation too and I felt that there were too many filler episodes. I've started to re watch the series as I watched the first episode of S and couldn't remember what had gone off. I just hope that Funimation have left "sissy" out of the subs as it really annoys me and I wont buy it and just stick with the Manga instead.

My Youth in Arcadia is Wrong as I Expected ep3

Continues to surprise me with how not terrible it is. The interaction between the main characters and the 'popular' crowd was beliveably nuanced and remarkably free of histrionics. There haven't been any real laugh-out-loud gags, but the characterisation is pleasingly sharp without being hopelessly soapy (Hello ToraDora). I feel this is almost threatening to become a good show.
That last sentence makes this sound like a case of damning with faint praise! I spent much of the first two episodes wanting to punch the two lead characters because they came across as insufferably arrogant and know-all. The show's dialogue seems to be aping Nisio Isin's style, only without the wit and far more obnoxiously smug.

I dunno if the characterisation is any less "soapy" than Toradora though. I mean, the male lead isolates himself because a girl rejected him. EMO!

Watched season 1 of DBZ.

Doesn't help that I watched Kai first but it did seem to drag and didn't think any of the filler was that interesting. Have already started season 2 and seems a lot better. Strange thing is in Kai I preferred the Vegeta Saga, guess the cuts they made we are good thing, certainly in my opinion.
