Mobile Suit Gundam - Episodes 15 - 17

Is that the actual episode 15 you got in or 15 by the english release standards? As i seem to remember that tomino removed it from the english release for no specified reason.

No, it's not the original episode 15, I'm watching the Bandai re-release with the Japanese track so it's really episode 16. I have seen the original episode 15 and it is pretty terrible, which I think must have had some bearing on why Tomino removed it from the Western release.

Played a lot of the new Bioshock game yesterdat so not as much watched at the halfway point of this weekend as I could of

Strike Witches 7-8
Nisemonogatari 8-11
Denpa Onna 1-2

Observant readers will note I watched Denpa Onna 1-5 last week. Seems like I had some kind of fail, after identifying which disc was the BD on the saturday I went and put the DvD into the player on Sunday. Which explains the ugly ass large sub titles (I just assumed NISA had a different style)

I went to a friend's house and we watched Ouran, but I was left with one burning question:

If Tamaki was raised in France by his French mother until he was 14 years old, how come he has a Japanese name?

Redline: That's an anime film a High Def telly was made for. It's another one I plan to show Mum, but I only have an SD TV in the living room so I am waiting for her to move up and splurge on a big HD TV like she plans to.

One Piece Ep.589
Minami-ke Ep.13

OreShura Ep.13

Meh, ending. Clearly wrong choice is made anyway Hime is the cutest and best option, Ai-chan would've also been acceptable.

his father must of named him

Highlights from the fairly odd selection of things watched at a friend's house yesterday:

The Cockpit (1993)

Three self-contained short stories depicting the last days of World War 2, as penned by Leiji Matsumoto. While it won't hold anything too fresh for any war movie afficionados, this is a respectful and often poignant collection. Told from the axis point of view, The Cockpit remembers the bravery of those fighting a war already lost, without glamorising the pointless waste of life. Also boasts some very nicely animated aerial combat scenes.

+Tic (Plastic) Nee-san (2011)

A gag comedy about three girls who comprise a highschool club for building model kits, this is a crude, daft little series which is also very, very funny. In a longer format, it might outstay its welcome, but with a dozen three minute episodes, it's a welcome distraction.

Trigun: Badlands Rumble (2010)

Effectively a 90-minute standalone episode of the tv series, but, within the confines of that, I think this is the best film it could possibly have been. It's a jolly romp that's well animated and plays to the strengths of the series, without dwelling too much on its weaknesses. What's more, it actually made me nostalgic for Trigun, a show I was never a huge fan of.
