Shuffle! 19 - Jesus i don't know what to make of this. I thought after the last episode it was all back to normal but hell no. It was a good episode in some ways, we get to know how Rin and Kaede are together and what happened in thier past. But if i was being honest this episode has really given me the creeps, and they say it's the quiet ones you have to keep an eye on. Seeing her face go lifeless and her eyes shrink just freaked me out, it reminded me of 'The Shining' and that film still scares me. Primula is still the best character, next to maybe Sia or Asa. Episode left on a huge twist/cliff hanger, i can guess where it's going to go but i hope it doesn't. 5 episodes left, what will they do.
Kanon 2006 4 - Getting into Kanon now and i really like it. Nothing much going on in terms of story, just at the introduction stage, but still it is great to watch. The characters work really well with eachother and it's not just Yuichi that they work with, for example, Ayu and Makato. Ayu really steals the show shes too cute and clumsy not to like. Also how the hell do these guys keep getting into school after hours? I don't know about you but when i was at school it was locked up and the alarm was on, but in about 4/5 series they always seem to get in. Sneaky buggers.
Black Lagoon 8 - Not an amazing episode, but wasn't bad either. I was quite interested in the whole mafia maid story untill i seen the preview for the next episode, nothing original there (hello terminator) but i wan't to see how they play it out. Hopefully they prove me wrong. Not seen much of Benny, he hasn't had anything to do so far in the series which is a bit of a let down. 4 episodes left of the first season so hopefully he gets some more time, i also want to know how Dutch and Revy came together. Some good songs in tonights episode, very good soundtrack so far.

Appleseed - Finally checked this out and what a cracking film it is. Very well done film and i'm really impressed with the way it turned out, Usually i'm not a fan of CGI/Anime hybrids but this was done extremley well. The story is decent and interesting, exactly what i would expect from Shirow/Hand,. and it is put across in a timely manor. There is no hour and a half minutes of pure action and 15 minutes at the end wrapping it up. It is balanced and explained so you get a clear view of whats going on and why.
The characters are ok with believable performances helop along with a solid performance from the voice cast to help things along. The dub was very well done and just short of Hollywood quality. The soundtrack is nothing short of fantastic, the songs are very well done and the musical score adds great amount of atmosphere to the film. Another point to raise is the script, at some parts it was sketchy but in general it was pretty decent. The best line of the film has to be
One thing i must say, The introduction to the film is one of the best i have seen not just in anime but in cinema in general. Fast paced action and then the entrance into Olympus was just great. The song used when they come in for landing is brilliant, scrap that, the whole sequence was brilliant.
This is a film not just for lovers of anime, but for lovers of film in general. All that's left now is to watch the original and see how they match up but i'm big fan of this film already.

The original OVA is ok but nowhere near as good as the CGI movie, the big thing being in the OVA the walking tank doesn't walk, it flys (I guess that's cheaper to animate :lol: ) even though it has legs.
Earlier I watched One Piece ep 307 and Skull Man ep 1. Not much really happens in ep 1 though I do like the design of the Skull Man, reminds me of .hack//Sign's Ginkan (Silver Knight) 8)

Yeah it won't be as flashy but i like the story enough to watch it in that format. I've found out theres supposed to be a sequel to it Ex Machina that is to be released this year. I can't wait for that.

i just watched death note episode 25.. omg i cant believe it!!! i cried like a baby for what happened to L... RYUZAKIIIIII!!!!!!! USO DA!!! USO!!!!! *breaks down and cries more*
Shuffle! 20 - From this point forward Rin can kiss my ass, i'll get to that in a bit. Another depressing episode of Shuffle! a bit too sad if you ask me, not one freaking laugh in this whole episode. Everything is now falling apart at the seems and people are being pushed to thier limits, just how long is left before Kaede snaps? Sia and Nerina have also vanished from the show, that's too episodes in a row but more like three if you include the date episode. Unless it does a 180 in the next two episodes i'm going to be very sour at the end of this.
Now back to that chap called Rin. Why is it ever single time the main male realises how his indecisiveness and general absense of common sense is hurt the ones he loves he goes ahead and either, Runs away like a little pansy, Turns completley cold and opposite from the character we've been watching, hurts people even more. And yet somehow Rin manages to do all three in the space of one episode? I don't really care about the majority of the female cast, but if he hurts Primula after the whole "We're a family i'll save you come live with us forever" the integrity of Shuffle! will be brought under tough scrutiny. Not pleased at all with the way this show is going.
Rec 1 - Picked this up today and watched the first episode. At only 12 minutes long i thought what the hell. This show doesn't half move along quite a bit covered in the first episode where many others take 6 times the length to cover and i love it. The main female Aka is a Voice Actor in training, she's very cute and loves practising her talents at any oppertunity. When she spots our main male Fumihiko being stood up at the cinema with an extra ticket she grabs him by surprise and our story takes off. From the short time i watched this the relationship seems believable on one hand you have the pessimistic Fumihiko who clashesh with the enthusiasm of Aka but they click and it's fun to watch. I can tell where the storys going already but it's very pleasurable to watch and first impressions are good.
Kanon 2006 5 - Yuichi is by far the best male lead i have seen in an anime in quite some time. He has all of the wit and sarcasm as Kyon from Haruhi but much much more charm and appeal. The script in this episode was bloody fantastic and it was funny from start through to finish. Some of the lines were great and the way Makoto followed Yuichi around like a lost puppy was cute. Hopefully the story starts picking up now but to be honest i wouldn't mind it staying like this. After this episode i'm not sure who's relationship i like more Yuichi and Ayu or Yuichi and Makoto. Both work so well together.
Black Lagoon 9 - Another action packed episode and what a show it was. I don't know what i prefer more, this part of the story or the U boat story. I'd say they are about the same but i like the U boat more simply because we get to see the dark side of Revy. only 3 more episodes of the first season to go and i'm desperate to know what happens, at the end of every one i get this feeling of wanting more. I could harp on and on about the script etc but i won't, it's great and this series is brilliant to watch and theres not much more to say.[/b]

Samurai Champaloo Vol 7 - well as disappointing an ending as everyone has said, but have rarely seen any journey /quest based anime end well. Hoping for as sequel me thinks.
My Hime vol 1 ... not sure yet. Seems to be setting up for a monster of the day kinda plot with hidden things going on. American VA's seem a little irritating will try Japanese before i send it back.
Eureka 7- watched a fansub before renting so was looking forward to it, but forgot how mind numbing irritating Renton was around Eureka. Thank the maker for fast forward.
Gurren Lagann 5- Fun but getting a little irritating (but looking over past comment maybe I'm just irritable). Wish it would go somewhere.

Shuffle! 21 - Rin is still an idiot, but after this episode i don't hate him as much as i used to. Another massive dollop of story and it hopefully rounds up the serious stuff so we can get back to normal and finish the show on a high. The first half of this episode is the same as 20, very shocking and very sad. But i was very impressed with the second half, to me the story looks like it has some sense of direction and again anything with Primula being happy is a bonus. I just hope they stick with whats happened at the end of this episode, if things go bottom up after this episode then the ending will spoil a very enjoyable series. 3 episodes to go, lets hope it sticks together.
Rec 2 - Another good episode, I love the comedy in this. It's like an adult version of Midori Days. Minus the whole hand thing. It shares the same simple story and animation but it also shares the same type of characters. The overblown emotions and general stupidity of Fumihiko is great to watch and Aka is cute and funny, if not a bit reserved. This show can carry itself and it has this charm in the way it puts it's message across, those were the same things i seen in Midori Days. The story isn't anything new but i can't get enough of this show and it's qualities.
Kanon 2006 6 - I usually type quite a bit on these blurbs. But i'm going to stop as i'm running out of fancy words to use, only for Kanon though, because its so bloody good. It's a bit like a fat kid in a cake shop, there is so much i love about Kanon and it is fantasticly done. Yuichi is still the best male in a while but the supporting cast are brilliant too. Ayu is 100 levels of awesomeness, i could watch the heart warming interactions between her and Yuichi all day long and i would never get bored. Ditto for Makoto and her antics, when Yuichi rolled up the magazine and whacked her over the head i burst out laughing. Superb series and it deserves every peice of its success, WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN LICENSED YET!
Black Lagoon 10 - I doubt they could have finished this part of the story any better, great action and fantastic writing again. If you like your thrills mixed in with a dash of comedy this will be right down your alley. Now i don't mean comedy as in slapstick, but the writing is that good you will still laugh and you'll know exactly the right time to do so. 2 more episodes of the first season to go, i'm wondering if theres an ending to the first or it just runs right into the second because i can't see this winding down. Revy is creeping into one of my favourite female characters, i just wish they would start explaining everybodys past a bit more, i'm more interested in that than in the future right now. Little bit of character development if you don't mind, only characters that have really changed are Rock (duh) and Revy.
