Another fun series of edutainment, but I felt a little let down by the way they were building it up to be a trip around the world only to, seemingly, go a couple of miles down the coast from where the were! Also felt a little rushed with a less thorough explanation of the science.
Art and animation standards remain the same.

Arrived home mentally exhausted today and having no usable brain cells, I opted to rewatch

Episode 1+2

Laughs, fanservice, Transformers and Gatchaman.
Opening song is cheery and squeaky.

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible Episode 12 Birthday. (Complete. Easy-going and pretty laid-back as a whole with a likeable central pairing where a genuinely sweet romance can be found.) 3.5/5

Tokyo Mew Mew New~♡ 2nd Season Episode 24 Leaving. (Complete. My overall thoughts about this remake remain the same and haven't changed at all since the first season ended.) 3/5
 
Skip and Loafer episode 12 Confrontation. (Complete. I got a lot out of this series and its likeable charm and characters, despite a relatively anticlimactic ending.) 4/5

Tokyo Mew Mew New~♡ 2nd Season episode 24 Come together. (Complete. This was slightly stronger than the first season, though after two adaptations I wonder whether the source material can yield a stronger anime.) 3/5

The previews had the unintended bonus of reminding me I haven't seen MadLax. 🤦
The TV spots were advertising each volume (1 episode) at 5800 Yen, twenty years ago. You did get some goodies. Volume 3 came with a Plushie.

Episode 5 has what might be my all time favourite character.

Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc ep 11 (complete)
Dawn of a new age.
This was a lot like the previous season in that there was a bit of a set up and then the rest was a fight. It was a bit more varied because they are facing 2 separate demons, but somehow it felt less hype than the Entertainment District Arc one. Out of the 3 new Demon Slayer members only one was fun as she wasn't loud or miserable like the other 2 and had a cool and unique fighting style.
Art and animation were very good again apart a little bit of dodgy CG.
7/10 (first drop in score for the series!)
 
KonoSuba -An Explosion on This Wonderful World! episode 12 Goodbyes and hellos. (Complete. Though not as strong as KonoSuba overall, this was a fun spin-off prequel that shone a spotlight on Megumin and YunYun amongst others.) 3.5/5

Best Student Council episodes 18-26 (Complete. A fun little series that entertained though wasn’t overly memorable asides from its quirkier elements.) 3/5

The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 episode 36 Determination. (Complete. An ongoing manga that I’m very much enjoying, and adapted strongly here. Can’t wait for part 2 in October.) 4/5

My Home Hero (Japanese audio) - Episodes 7-12 (Completed)

So I watched the whole series, split between two days. This is a really interesting suspense type series with a unique protagonist who isn't your generic OP young dude. The manga is very long so this anime adapts the Part 1 storyline but what we got wraps up really well if there's no more seasons. What caught me off guard the most was that the creator of the manga is also the same writer behind the isekai series I'm Standing on a Million Lives, which is a series that I also enjoyed (and also has pretty poor animation).
