Well, having lost my home internet on Monday night and while waiting for the engineer to fix it (still waiting) I decided to watch some of my backlog. Started with Land of the Lustrous (beautiful but what a cliffhanger ending with all the big questions unanswered), The Nutcracker (a lovely Swedish ballet that I think I will watch again at Christmas), Swan Lake (the Matthew Bourne version with male swans, which was weird and felt wrong. The music kept me going), Kiniro No Corde, an anime based at a music school with the lead being the only significant female character, who is constantly bullied and hit upon by all around her (three times a complete stranger just drags her off from her friends to somewhere "special"), Invaders of the Rokujyama (again), Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S (again), Fist Of Fury (again), some more Bluey, and the biggie, Lelouch of the Rebellion (up to season 2 episode 8 so far). My biggest problem with this last show is blind Nunnaly has been living constantly in close quarters with her brother Lelouch for 7 years, yet she seems unable to recognise his voice when he puts a mask on!? Also, am I wrong to think all the people given the Geass power are just the puppets of a couple of bored bloodthirsty immortals? Time will tell on that one. Oh, and I'm finally watching Food Wars Season 4 (mmmm)
