Based on the synopsis and trailers, I feel that The World's Greatest Assassin gets Reincarnated would have been better show to release. However, I'm enjoying this.
 
Sgt Frog Season 2 episodes 1-9: Hahahahahaha, and the teams all back for another turn at trying to conquer Earth, one household at a time. I'm a bit worried what I will do if, after the English dub runs out at episode 26, I find I love the Japanese audio and want to go back to the start. Also, I still think 15 hours on one disc is overdoing it, as you could lose a whole day without getting off the couch if you're not careful.

Also watched X Japan's 1994 concert (disc 1) which I picked up at Oxfam online! So many costume changes and hugely overblown gothic sets. Can't wait to see what they'll do in disc 2.

Blue Period ep2-7

For a series about art, I’d have liked if it were a little more visually interesting (it’s fine, but I think ‘unambitious’ is the word I’d use), although that notwithstanding, I’ve very much enjoyed this one. I find it very relatable, if not unnervingly close to home at times.

High Card ep1-2

Thought I’d give this a shot after I saw the trailer with the crazy katana lady. It’s kind of dumb, but it’s a nice looking show - the setting being a fantasy version of contemporary England certainly gives it a distinctive flavour. I was actually surprised at how much it appears to owe to Kingsman in its setup, the grey-haired controller character even looks vaguely like Michael Caine. Unfortunately, I do find the central duo quite annoying, so probably one best viewed in small doses.
