Back with more stuff I watched, with a score attached somewhat broadly
The 1 "new" film I watched:
Fruits Basket -Prelude- [EN Audio] - Before this was released, I did catch up and finish all 3 seasons of the show, having put it off for a while, I ended up really liking the show, the characters and many of the English cast (most notably the returning Laura Bailey, to whom this show clearly means a lot), so it was certainly worthwhile.
As for the movie... It's a weird product. Once you get past the 30 minute sorta recap (that makes sure to get across that is for returning viewers, not newcomers), whats left is a story that fans of the show will know the end points and outside of some nice character beats (and a fair amount of baggage), this feels mostly like filling out the stuff not told in the anime but isn't that important. It's fine for what it is, for all 50ish minutes of it (hence the long recap to pad out the runtime). Still, happy to have seen it all - 6/10
The previous seasonal anime that I finished relatively recently
Heroines Run the Show [EN Audio] - A lowkey show with a protagonist I found to be fun and also endearing. Besides the initial setup though, doesn't have much going on and the conflict introduced towards the end feels really... eh, but I get it. Oh well, decent enough - 6/10
Love after World Domination [EN Audio] - A decent romantic comedy with a good upfront premise that, while it has its moments in the first half of the show, runs out of new things to do, and what scenarios it does include are increasingly not interesting (by episode 11, the barely concealed fetish stuff just made me think this should be over now) - 6/10
Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie [JP Audio] - Another rom com, also with a good central premise. Despite my misgivings with some of the comedy not really landing early on, the show improves noticeably after episode 6, and has plenty of good character back and forth - 7/10
Spy x Family Part 1 [EN Audio] - This show is great, really like these characters and the scenarios involved, what else is there to say, it's excellent so far! - 9/10
