The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. S1 ep24 (English dub) and S2 ep1
Watching these back to back was a slightly odd experience, as the end of S1 gives all the main characters a chance to appear, presumably as a send off before what they assumed would be the end of the anime, while the first ep of S2 reintroduces everyone again (and comments on how surprised they are to be back).
Quite enjoyed seeing the show again anyway, I’d kind of forgotten how much I like Saiki - I think it’s one of the most reliably funny comedy anime of recent years. Going into the second season, I will miss the dub though, I think Jerry Jewell is absolutely spot on as Saiki himself.

Binged through season 1 and 2 of Ascendance of a Bookworm, it's really good and worth watching, definitely one one of the more unique isekai animes. However I definitely disagree with the Iyashikei label that I see some people applying to it. There's way too much suffering and hateful characters within it for me to apply that label to it.
The pacing is kinda weird like how bad things are alluded to, but never really happen and at the same time other drastic events suddenly occur without warning.

Weekly Crunchyroll done apart from Noblesse which now has 2 episodes unwatched so I will leave till next week to watch I assume the final 3 (if a 12 ep season as MAL still doesn't say) and Fire Force as I was getting a bit annoyed at the 'take 3 episodes to have a fight' thing, so thought I'd leave it till it was finished. And I'll be doing the same with the Funimation shows as I have a week off straight after my 3 days off over Christmas. I also need to watch The Great Pretender at some point too.

Finished the Eden of the East movies. Nice ending to the show but I feel they left it intentionally open for potential expansion which never happened. But despite that the plot threads wrapped up nicely. I also totally called that the taxi driver from the end of S1 was mr outsider. - heavy spoilers
