Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 73 An engaging insight into Mitsuki's background, really liking this arc so far.

Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation episodes 17-24 (Complete. Three seasons in and the races are still interesting thanks to the dynamic of introducing new team members as well as intense tactics that challenged the Sohoku team. Of course this season bleeds into the next so I'll be watching Glory Line soon.) 4/5

Doctor Who The Mind Robber This and The Invasion back to back must have made for some kino late 60's who. Such an imaginative story, especially considering it was fraught with production issues, hence the first episode being ultra low budget (even for Who standards.)

Also watched the latest Nintendo Direct.

The Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Urk (complete) - An odd show with some oddball characters who motivations and actions seem weird. I dropped this show a few years back and decided to give it another go. Its not bad as such, but everything has been done bigger and better by shows that have come after it - 6/10 Onto the second season I suppose
 
B: The Beginning eps (7-12) (complete)
Not half bad, but there seemed to be two separate main storylines that got tenuously linked together and one in particular (the supernatural) suffered for it as it ended up making little sense and probably could have been cut to make way for more of the other one (the super detective vs super villain) which had some really good tense moments.
Second half had less of the tonally awkward comedy and I forgot to mention last time that the soundtrack is pretty good.

Angels of Death episode 11 Rachel comes to an interesting conclusion regarding her thoughts on God.

Chio's School Road episode 11 Wild game smell.

Grand Blue Dreaming episode 10 When this show actually does diving it does so quite well.

Harukana Receive episode 11 Man they must be running on pure adrenaline and willpower by the end of this. Personally I know who I want to win but either way it will be well deserved.

Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigations episode 7 Investigating a haunted prison.

My Sweet Tyrant episode 24 Akkun done goofed, luckily he has the finale to sort things out.

BoJack Horseman Season 5 episodes 1-12 It's always worth waiting for this to continue. I loved the standalone stories here, especially the funeral episode. Seeing BoJack towards the end and the path he chooses to take following what happens indicates that there might finally being a change.

Music Girls episode 11 Uori mopes until Hanako opens her eyes to how she's affected the other members (the same notion she criticised Hanako for early on) and we get a happy conclusion.

My Hero Academia 3rd Season episode 61 A long time coming.

Persona 5 The Animation episode 24 Sojibro makes a grave discovery and we get some casino antics as well as more Futaba backstory.

Back Street Girls episode 10 (Complete. Absurd but humorous and only let down by one or two episodes that failed to raise many laughs as well as a very obvious lack of animation budget.) 3.5/5

Just watched Your Name for the first time.
I'm disappointed with the DVD quality (see defective thread...) but loved the film.
One of the most visually wonderful animé films I've seen.

I've been in that first situation a fair few times. Payday reference. Maybe a bit too heavy on the fanservice!

Music Girls ep 11
Uori is having a mental breakdown and Hanako fixes it by singing one of the Music Girls songs badly. Seemed a bit too easy really, but it not the deepest of shows.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hotsprings ep 10
School trip complete with beach and courage test.

This feels far too short to me. Each episode runs for under 15 minutes, and then the other 9 are interviews with the voice actors :confused:

I've been fairly behind due to work and Kingdom Hearts. The latter is now sorted so I'm going to sort out the Spring & Summer simulcasts before I begin the Autumn titles that air in October. Of the 17 shows I'm watching, around 3 are currently planned to continue through to the Autumn season (Attack on Titan, Banana Fish and maybe PERSONA5).

A decent conclusion to the series that started slowly before picking up about a 3rd of the way through. This final episode left too many questions unanswered IMO, at least it had it's positive/negative and serious moments throughout. Overall a decent watch imo despite its negatives. 6/10.

We Rent Tsukumogami episode 9 The story of Suou thickens.

Yowamushi Pedal: Glory Line episodes 20-25 (Complete. The weakest season so far, if only because it felt more drawn out than prior excursions. I also found that certain characters and their gimmicks were drawing a bit thin, especially Midousuji who is basically a caricature of malice with little nuance and always an evil scheme on hand-and the occasional flashback which do little to make me sympathise with him.

There were still episodes of greatness to be found, but they were accompanied by a fair bit of tedium. I'll still look forward to whatever comes next at least.) 3.5/5
