How Not To Summon a Demon Lord (episode 5)
I felt this episode was much better than the previous ones, but that was in part down to the reduction in fan-service I think.
Anime-Gataris (2-5)
This is my current "don't take your brain SoL comedy" now I think. Stupid but enjoyable.
I Don't Understand What My husband Is Saying (5-10)
This is ace and dead funny. Some of it really resonates with this forum for me :)
Alnoah Zero (season 1 complete)
This has been on my list for years and I've avoided anything to do with it so I had no idea what it was about going in. For me this was really very good though, and it's one of those that doesn't feel like a mecha but it sort of referred to as one. It's not like Eva where its about a small group of people in special robots, or like Dai-Guard where its about a small team in the only special robot. It's about trying to stop a war and the soldiers in the war fight using robots (but that's not the focus of the series). I'll admit that the MC sort of reminds me of myself a bit (which is annoying to an extent) but this one is 8/10 for me.
Alnoah Zero (season 2) (episode 1)
Made a start on the next one.

Sorry @Neil.T had to see what the fuss was about.

We Without Wings eps 1-3 (dub)
An ecchi comedy adapted from an adult visual novel! OMG, the first episode had so many panty shots! But the next 2 weren't quite as lewd apart a weird segment at the start with full nudity, as it's the uncut version, with varying numbers of the girls from the different segments. The show is split into 3 "stories" with one revolving a bar and its waitresses, one around a school boy who claims is not of this world that hasn't seen much screen time yet and the third around a street punk that seemsy it to have an actual plot including a street brawl between 2 gangs in episode 3.
It has its funny moments, but some of ecchi elements go a bit OTT and there is very little plot. Kanon this is not (also an adaptation of an AVN, but KyoAni stripped out all of the lewd stuff).
Heh. The only anime I’ve watched and managed to completely forget I watched. Hopefully it does mor e for you than me!

Alnoah Zero (season 2) (episode 1)
Made a start on the next one.

I'm also a big fan of Aldnoah Zero for the same reasons - it's not so much mecha-centric and I really enjoyed the underlying story - a lot. A couple guys over on the Blu-ray anime Forum were just ripping the series apart yesterday, saying how bad it was - but I guess it's just like me with Gurren Lagann, lol... Different strokes for different folks - I'm not a Gundam or Eva fan, either.

Banana Fish ep 4
Quite a violent episode this one.

Happy Sugar Life ep 3
We learn a bit about Shios past and as in keeping with the rest of the show it seems it was rather bleak, hinting at an abusive father and a dead mother?

Deep Blue Dreaming ep 3
Iori actually gets into a wetsuit, but most of the episode is dedicated to the guys trying to get Chiise to enter a beauty pageant so they can get out of doing the male version with some amusing moments.

Chio's School Road ep 4
Back on form after last week. The various action and reaction shots are actually varied compared to the other comedy shows this season. I'll post some in an episode thread.

Angels of Death episode 4 Zappity Zap-Zap!

Banana Fish episode 4 (Only a day off schedule...Good job Amazon.) Oh lord that fork scene. Another violent episode with more death and development into the titular drug.

Chio's School Road episode 4 Delivering newspapers is risky biznu it seems.

Grand Blue Dreaming episode 3 Wow there's actually some diving in this epis...oh back to drinking. Ah well this was a fairly humorous episode. I'm not overly fond of the comedy here as it seems hit and miss, but as this was the strongest episode so far I'll keep on watching.

Harukana Receive episode 4 A nice and relaxed episode that helped to continue building the relationships between the characters.

My Sweet Tyrant episode 17 A humorous little sleepover segment.

Kaleido Star episodes 1-26 (Complete. The first season of this circus based anime was an interesting experience, it tells of the ups and downs of the protagonist Sora and her attempts to perform for the titular Kaleido Stage and grow in the process.

They way the story is told is refreshing in that conflicts aren't often dragged on for episodes on end but tend to progress and resolve within one or two, and the tone at times suggests that this anime was aimed at a younger teenage audience due to its episodic nature.

Regardless, despite some issues I had here and there-underdeveloped Dickish side characters and frequent mope sessions from Sora, this was very good, not quite great but I shall definitely watch the second season in the future.) 4/5

Kemono Friends episodes 1-9

Cells at Work episode 4
Y'know it's kinda fitting how the episode starts off looking at the stomach and how the acids break down food because trying to get the episode to load on Crunchyroll each week gives me a f*cking ulcer.
That little issue notwithstanding this was another good episode, I like how brutal it can be but also how it manages to be decent edutainment.

Music Girls episode 4 Liking how the episodes focus on a particular member of the group, with such a large group it's nice they're trying to develop individual personalities.

My Hero Academia 3rd Season episode 54 Warching this as a manga reader I realise certain nuances that will make more sense later on.

Persona 5 The Animation episode 17 Best girl joins the thieves having faced her demons.

The Thousand Musketeers episode 4 A more laid back episode this time around, though the ending was saddening.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs episode 3 [Dropped] This is doing nothing as a comedy for me, it's mostly old hat. I hear the manga is decent so I might check that out.

Kemono Friends episodes 10-12 (Complete. The story behind this anime and what followed is fascinating but also sad in places. A series with such a limited budget, reliant upon 3D characters upon 2D plains shouldn't work surely?

Well Kemono Friends manages to be better than average thanks to its characters and simple but intriguing premise. Beneath all the cute charm and vast cast, there always seemed to be an underlining story of a world come to ruin and how the animals themselves are hybrids. Though I doubt it'll get a second season, maybe the small phenomenon it caused could work in its favour in the future.) 3.5/5

Konohana Kitan episodes 1-12 (Complete. A visually pleasing anime featuring tsundere fox girls with a lot of yuri subtext. The series also managed to meld its cuteness with a darker side that explored mature themes withThe town and inn seemingly being tied to a sort of purgatory, hence all the trips to the other side etc.which gave depth and put this above other comfy SoL for me. I had missed this when it was coming out weekly but I'm glad I finally experienced it.) 4/5

Kinji Fukasaku's BWHAH: Proxy war (Film) Another fun and gritty Yakuza film with twists and turns as people betray and meander to work their way into a more comfortable standing. This is the third the Battles without Honour and Humanity saga and I look forward to watching the last two. 3.5/5

Watched Future GP Cyber Formula Episode 1. Pretty happy with the opener. It doesn't expose much and generally keeps things lite, but there's enough to make you want to see what comes. It isn't complicated, but interesting enough to stay on par with the standard action fare of the time.

Armored Trooper Votoms ep1

It gets a bit stodgy as it goes on, but I'd forgotten how exciting the first couple of episodes of Votoms are - it goes about a million miles a minute for the first while.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works episode 12 - That cover of Disillusion towards the end was something magical.

Revue Starlight episodes 2-3 - This definitely makes for one of the weirdest shows this season

Angels of Death episode 4 - RIP Okamoto's vocal chords

Holmes of Kyoto episode 3

Chio's School Road (Dub) Episode 1

DARLING in the FRANXX (Dub) Episode 24 (Complete)
A show that had so much hype surrounding it, but in the end crashed and burned. A real shame. 6/10

Hanebado! (Dub) Episode 1

High School DxD Hero (Dub) Episode 12 (Uncensored) (Complete)
Same old DxD. 7/10

Miss caretaker of Sunohara-sou (Sub) Episode 4

Music Girls (Sub) Episode 4

Nekopara OVA Extra (Sub)
Kitty cuteness.

Seven Senses of the Re'Union (Sub) Episode 4

The Master of Ragnarok and Blesser of Einherjar (Sub) Episode 4
A somewhat improvement from the previous episodes, but as for where this is going still remains unanswered.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs (Sub) Episode 3
How to make a bad impression on your first day, and two new characters introduced.

Aldnoah Zero Season 2 (complete)
Banana Fish (episode 4)
Happy Sugar Life (episode 3)
Cells at Work (episode 4)
My favourite this season I think.
Yuuna and the Haunted Hotsprings (episode 3) (dangling)
Gonna give this one more episode but while I won't say it's dropped, it's somewhat dangling by a thread :(
