Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Episode 12/12 (Complete)
You know when there’s a franchise you REALLY want to get into because you think it look and sounds amazing and then when you finally get into it then you just switch off and don’t care? Yeah, this is one of those cases for me. I’ve wanted to watch the OVA series for years and maybe those are better but honestly I’m just NOT into this franchise as it stands. The animation and music were top-notch but the story made very little sense to me, and it’s EXTREMELY lore-heavy to the point where hardly anything makes sense.
Also, what’s with all the focus on minor characters just because they happen to have miliatary significance? I get they’re showing the ins-and-outs of the conflict but the most interesting characters for me were Reinhardt and Siegfried and they got next to NO screen time. Yang was the character developed the most but it spent so much time explaining his past and why he’s there that I stopped caring where he’s going in the present. I saw the first episode and I thought it was great, after that it just slowly started fading from my interest.
This is meant to adapt the first novel so maybe the first novel is like that and future novels are a bit more interesting so maybe I’ll enjoy future seasons better, and I definitely want to give future seasons a chance but honestly right now I just feel really underwhelmed from that.
My friend just messaged me on Facebook asking me who won, I said I think it was a draw, as at the end they are talking about the next competition and they said there wasn't a current champion. I am right?

Megalo Box (Sub) Episode 13 (Complete) What a brilliant final episode. What a match, and what a fight. Joe and Yuri's stamina and endurance is something else, how both of them never collapsed from sheer exhaustion I will never know. Really good series. 8.5/10
Tada Never Falls in Love (Sub) Episode 13 (Complete) What a final episode, this was a truly emotional episode. The whole scene between Tada and Teresa was a truly emotional moment . As for Ijuin, this man deserves so much credit for the support he has given Tada. That reveal at the second to last scene was a real surprise, but that final scene was truly beautiful. Overall a very good series 9/10.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 63 I liked the added trauma to the aftermath of the attack, made things seem serious than the movie had a chance to.
Megalo Box episode 13 A fitting end (Complete. This was an engaging and visceral anime with a distinct old-school feel with a simple but solid execution. The story of Joe's rise was a ride to watch, and outside of a weird rap breakdown-the first not second one, there wasn't anything I really disliked here.) 4/5
Yu Yu Hakusho episodes 99-106, 110 and 112 (Complete. This was quite the enjoying long-running series. It has good characters, a multi-faceted story that goes through the typical shounen traits such as a tournament arc, and deals with its themes fairly well. I was impressed with how little filler there was, and that it rarely dragged-some of the tournament stuff was a bit long in the tooth however. This is one I can recommend to anybody looking for a longer series to watch, and it's available in its entirety on FuniNow.) 4/5
Megalo Box episode 13 - One of the best of the season with a simple but effective story. The final fight between Yuri and Joe is easily one of the best fights I've seen in an anime. 9/10
TadaKoi episode 13 - I'm conflicted on this series. As a comedy it was decent but for most of the series there was never any real development with it being a romance series. Aside from that issue the last episode was a nice end to the series. 6/10
Tada Never Falls in Love (Sub) Episode 13 (Complete)
Abysmally average romance. I don't think I've ever seen a show where the two characters have so little chemistry. the character designs were as bland as the characters they represent. If your after a satisfying romance don't bother with it. Rubbish 5/10
TadaKoi ep 13 (complete)
A really sweet ending to this series.
Overall it didn’t feel like a rom-com. At first it was a light comedy with the odd hint that there was something there and then the last few episodes turned into a romance drama almost so the 2 never blended. Not as good as the other show by the same people Nozaki-Kun. 7/10
Megalo Box ep 13 (complete)
It was a good fight with more than a hint of Rocky in there.
Overall I liked a lot about this show, but Joes story seemed to have no downs at all apart from a little drama away from the ring and in the ring he got knocked down so many times and got back up to win that it just seemed unrealistic. And because there was no variation it got a bit repetitive! 7/10 (probably get an extra half point if MAL allowed it)
been a while since I posted and a few are finished, so those finished ones I'll just set as completes
GitS S.A.C 1st & 2nd gig (complete) undeniably a classic series, if only I stopped picking up the habit of drinking while watching it I might've got more of the plot, but the end goal for the antagonist of 2nd gig was cyberpunk at it's core. I'll be watching SSS when I make time, haven't seen that one before
Franxx (22) - now that an all too important mysterious so not that important character is gone, things are turning mighty bitter for those who've been left behind...
Stein's gate 0 (12) - the development at the end of the episode will surely clear a few things up, I get the feeling the random worldline jumps will return though
Magical Girl Site (complete) - the way too edgy, what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-this-girl-a-thon is finished! only for now I'm sure, it's a still running manga? I did enjoy it, but some parts tried way too much to be edgy and sort of felt they overshot the atmosphere they wanted. there are still several mysteries in the series, though the basic plot is understood, the identity of The King (apparently the creepy admins answer to them) still seems to be lost on me though
Hinamatsuri (complete) - where would we be without a series like this? probably somewhere like Hina without Nitta! just one of the feel - good series this season, I like how much of Hina's friends portray her personality as "feed me" and nothing else. I'd think a Hina soundboard would sell, for 5 minutes, before everyone realises that everything does the exact same thing
anyone up for The Adventures of Mao?
MHA (50) - after most of the season being full of quite decent fights, I thought this would wind down, but feels were felt
don't underestimate a woman whose raised three boys!
Tokyo Ghoul RE (complete) - the penultimate episode was a particularly violent and gory one, I'm pretty sure censors stepped in but not as harshly or as badly done as has happened before, still I was a little disappointed in the ending. at least it didn't end like root A
Claymore (sub) (22) - picked up watching through the sub again, and as usual the girls in the series were pretty on point. Hiro Yuki gives quite a good performance with both regaldo's effeminate human voice and his more macho awakened voice, but I'm not buying the "rrooaawwwr" from them, it sounds very weak, oh well, regaldo makes for a powerful opponent but a naff lion. I defy anyone who says he isn't a naff lion. Hoko still does well here, with her normal tone and the change in clare at the end, I'll be watching the next soon as I'm wondering if Hoko keeps the new tone
for my next Haberdashery post though, I'll be watching as much Watamote as I can stand in a single sitting...
Magical Girl Site (complete) - the way too edgy, what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-this-girl-a-thon is finished! only for now I'm sure, it's a still running manga? Being the massive Site fan that I am I have to agree that the series really ain't for everyone and the first few episodes didn't do it any favours. While I liked the anime original ending, the manga was so much better in it's pacing and isn't bound to explaining itself in such a short amount of time. Shame since the manga actually managed to tone down the edge after the first few chapters and was so much better for it.
Casshern Sins eps 20–24 (complete)
I really enjoyed this series. It kept me engaged right up until the very end. It has that very anime way of making things that were so clear-cut in the beginning much more subjective by the end.
Kiss Him Not Me ep 5
This has been keeping the laughs coming as a counterbalance to Casshern's downbeat feel.
Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms
(Theatrical screening)
. . . .
Moving swiftly on...
FLCL eps 1–3 (rewatch, first time on BD)
Now this is more like it.
Not sure how many times I've watched this already. It's an all-time favourite, and it looks just great with such a crisp picture.
