Better than I expected. I only watched it because I was bored. 4/5

Kakegurui (episode 1) (dropped)
The art style for me is really off-putting :eek:. I knew what it was like going in, but I thought I'd get used to it over time but no. It annoyed me that much I don't want to give it a chance.

I can see people being put off by the art style of Kaiji, Ping Pong etc but Kakegurui's a strange one, just looks like a standard anime to me.

The anime tries to put an emphasis on the students not being human anymore since they gamble and stuff. It tries to reflect that in the art style (like when baddies start licking their lips etc) but it just looks stupid to me.
I was gonna post an image of what I mean but anything I try and find just looks like soft porn so that's a no then.

Amanchu! Advance episode 11 It was nice to see Pikari's family here. Something I've noticed is that I just don't like Kokoro, or his attitude for the most part. He, along with the fantasy arc, are the worst things about this season.

Darling in the FranXX episode 21 Hoo boy that cliffhanger tho. With three episodes left I'm curious how this will resolve.

Hozuki's Coolheadedness 2nd Season 2nd Cour episode 24 The return of the stripping hag and some cooking idols in hell.

My Hero Academia 3rd Season episode 48 Well damn that was another really impressive episode. This really is a great adaptation of a great manga.

Persona 5 The Animation episode 11 Looks like the anime has caught up to where I am in the game atm.

Finally got to watch Cutie Honey Universe ep10. Clearly, it was not this episode that triggered HIDIVE's mature content filter, I guess it was just a more general decision based on the show's content as a whole.

Got up to date on the following.

Steins gate 0, My hero academia S3, Boruto, My sweet tyrant, Ninja girl and samurai master S3, Persona 5, some boring teenage drama featuring a dirty old dino perv, Food wars and Katana maidens.
 
SAO: Gun Gale Online (episode 10)
Darling in the FranXX - caught up on it all now so that was episode 21.
Kill La Kill (1-11) - really can't stand football so instead worked through the first half of it. I was always interested in seeing it (eventually) but I'm not overly eager to put the next episode on so I'll probably leave it until next weekend now. We can think of it as my escape from the World Cup :confused:
 
Wakaba*Girl eps 1-6
Another show with the writer of APFTTU involved. A series of shorts (6 mins w/o OP) about the titular Wakaba who's a rich girl that has never had friends as she has moved a lot and has always been wrapped in cotton wool (much like Yuzuki from APFTTU). She starts high school and seemingly her parents have let her of the leash a little as she makes friends with the comedy coming from her misunderstanding of things in a real world and of the things the other girls say, like thinking to be really girly is to be a Gyaru. Some funny stuff, but maybe too short to really get to know who is who of the other girls and their personalities fully.

Caligula ep 11
Ritsus reasons for being in Mobius are revealed and the fight started last week continues. Seems next week is the last episode.

Uma Masume: Pretty Derby ep 13 (complete)
A nice good bye to the characters, but a bit of cop out with the result of the race.
The series is best game adaptation/sports show EVAAAAR 😃 But seriously wasn't expecting much from the premise of the show bar maybe some cute horse-girl fan service and the occasional laugh, but it was a much deeper show than that with twists and turns and dispite winning her first few races Spe-chan wasn't the Mary Sue I thought she was going to be and had suffer defeat and learn from them. All the other characters from Team Spica had their moments and some, but not all (there were a hell of a lot characters) of the other girls had a moment or 2 as well. Overall a really nice show.

My thoughts on Uma Musume! are similar, I also have it an 8/10 this was quite the nice surprise of this season.
 
Food Wars! The Third Plate 2nd Cour episode 23 The Shokugeki continues.

Uma Musume! Pretty Derby episode 13 (Complete. Considering I came into this series with no expectations I'm all the more happy that this was as good as it is. It's a simple series at heart but has a good drive that kept each key race tense and also maintained a solid roster of characters and competitors.

The balance between CGDCT and the sports aspects was also well done, and I'm glad they shifted away from the idol stuff otherwise it could have been overkill. Overall this was one of the pleasant surprises of this season, and I'm glad I gave it a chance when it started.) 4/5
