World Trigger - Episode 02-05

You've basically already heard everything anyone has to say about this show, but a particular highlight of mine was a 30 second long montage of minimally-animated people staring at the protagonist, which clearly had been added to try and cut the amount of animation needed for the episode.

It's really crummy, but at the same time I can't help but admire the guts it must have taken to air that scene on what appears to be marketed as a children's television show.

Border... Toeing the ridiculously fine line between world's most efficient military organisation and world's most poorly run.

Literally none of their military decisions make any sense.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX (Subbed)-Episodes 7 and 8

Episode 7: I liked how in the flashback scene the characters are using the old duel discs. Nice touch.

Episode 8: Nice to see Judai actually loose for a change. I was worried he was just going to be completely infallible which would make it pretty boring.

Hunter x Hunter-Episodes 51 and 52

Episode 51: I'm a little unsure about how the Mafia held another auction. Didn't the Phantom Troupe steal all of the items for sale in the auction? I know why they wanted one, to lure out the Phantom Troupe in order to have them killed but if it was just a plot to lure them out, why have a ton of guards and what not, knowing full well they were just going to be slaughtered en masse? Unless I'm missing something here, it just doesn't add up to me.

Episode 52: Okay, so Kurapika said the Troupe's objective was to avenge their friend AND steal the rest of the merchandise. While this line does make the fact they had a second auction make sense, it does raise more questions. Where is the rest of the merchandise being kept? Why was it being stored separately? Why weren't we shown this? It's a pretty small detail but it's really niggling at me in the back of my mind.

World Trigger - Episodes 09-16 (The Black Trigger Capture arc)

This entire arc was straight up ridiculous and predicated almost entirely upon a quite far fetched assumption that, somehow, nobody points out until the very last episode of the arc, despite it almost tearing it the organisation apart...

Also, the child-in-residence and capybara are now my favourite double act...

I really enjoyed this, a fascinating look at what it means to be 'human'.

Perfect Blue (Blu-ray)

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Perfect Blue and it never fails to thrill me.

Opening 2 and Ending 2 are okay, but it's skippable in my books.
