Okusama ga Seitokaichou! (Japanese Dub) - Uncensored Episode 06

EEEEEEHHHHHHHHH????
I'd stopped watching this, now you made me want to catch up. -_-

Each episode is only 8 minutes long (that includes OP/ED), and it has some fun moments (well I would like to call it fun).

BTOOOM! eps 9-12 (Complete)

Why do most survival anime like this never get a second season? :(

Has anyone read the manga? Would i be able to jump in a the point where the anime finishes?

Durarara!!x2 - 17. Asleep or Awake

And Durarara!! seems to finally be back, IIRC they've cleared the book in which the series main protagonist pops up for all of 5 seconds, and are now back to mostly dealing with the main story. Just a shame that I almost gagged at the picture eating scene.

Yu Gi Oh GX (Subbed)-Episode 9

I love how Hayato's dad says he didn't use one of his card's effect because he didn't study enough. You don't need to study to read the description of a card. That's just common sense. Also, I'd love to see how 4Kids dubbed this one. Alot of alcohol references and monsters holding liquor bottles whilst appearing drunk. Would be hard to change that one to make it kid friendly. You'd either have to cut alot out or be really imaginative.

School Live! (Gakkou Gurashi)-Episode 5

Another fantastic episode but at this point I expect nothing less. The scene with Megu-nee and Yuki with the bear is so heart breaking to watch. I just feel so much sympathy towards Yuki and I really just genuinely feel for her. She's just so innocent. I've really liked these two Miki focused episodes, I'm really glad her backstory got fleshed out. I do hope Kei makes a reappearance in the future but I'm not holding my breath. Oh and they still managed to fit in swimsuits. In a zombie apocalypse. Bravo.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX (Subbed)-Episodes 10 and 11

I watched Episodes 1-6 of My Love Story/Ore Monogatari.

It's been really brilliant so far. Aside from the excellent comedy (especially if you like exaggerated reactions and such), it also manages to tell a surprisingly realistic story about romance between a "non-standard" couple (for Shoujo, at least). Cynical people might think the characters are far too nice to be real but the show does a pretty good job of explaining their personalities and justifying their actions and beliefs.

As well as the romantic elements, there's also a really nice story about true friendship between the main character Takeo and his best friend Suna. For a while I wondered if Suna might have had feelings going a bit beyond friendship towards Takeo but it doesn't look like things will go that way. I have to admit, I was concerned that the show was going to play up "traditional" gender roles a bit too much and that could start to annoy me but within a few episodes there's a story that breaks down assumptions about gender so it looks like I was worrying for nothing. Takeo may have ideas about what it means to be a man but the show itself seems to be avoiding any bias and it's interesting to see the characters learn some lessons too.

It's really been very enjoyable so far and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Prison School (Japanese Dub) - Episode 05
Food Wars! (Japanese Dub) - Episode 18
Classroom☆Crisis (Japanese Dub) - Episode 06

My thoughts on the latest episodes so far:
Prison School
- Thank goodness he got those figurines!
- And the whole Chiyo situation is pretty much resolved, at least their relationship can continue somehow.
- The episode was a lot of fun. But next week sounds like it's going to be interesting..

Food Wars!
- Another great episode as usual.
- The post-credits scene pretty much makes these next few episodes sound like hell for Soma.

Classroom☆Crisis
- This show... really feels under-rated in my opinion. This episode in particular is probably the strongest one in the series so far. I understand why many people have dropped this series but I don't think it's that bad, it's one of those shows where it starts 'meh' and gets better as it goes on. Also the Opening and Ending songs are great!
- Nagisa is actually a pretty interesting character. At first I felt these multiple story arcs were a bit too much but this episode made it a bit clearer now.

Hunter x Hunter-Episode 53

I'm still confused about the 2nd auction. I even read a sumarry of the Yorknew arc up to the point I'm at but it cleared nothing up. It's really distracting me from enjoying the show and could be explained in a thowaway line! I don't know why I'm letting it bother me so much.

Actually, I Am ep5. Not thinking of the obvious solution is something I am very guilty of, so I can sympathise with Shiragami.

Baby Steps s2 ep18.

Non Non Biyori: Repeat s2 ep5. Nice to see more from the other three girls, I was beginning to think they had been relegated to support character status.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan ep17. A classic example of how messy medieval politics were.

Watched Episodes 7-12 of My Love Story/Ore Monogatari.

I'm really enjoying this show. It looks at some interesting topics in a thoughtful way and it still manages to be hilarious in-between. I like that the show spends time on the relationships between friends rather than just focussing on the romantic couple. It even manages to handles some more "dramatic" content quite well. In general I think it's mostly going to be a positive show but it's nice that it's willing to handle some tougher issues as well.

I think the visual humour in this show is worth mentioning. Humour being subjective I don't know if it would work for everyone but I find it consistently entertaining. I particularly liked a joke that involved the writing on Takeo's shirt changing to suit what he was doing. There are a lot of little things this show does that help it to stand out, they're not necessarily all unique but the way the show puts everything together is impressive.
