Charlotte-Episode 4

Didn't do much for me this week. I thought all the jokes surrounding Nishimori were pretty funny but I always hate when Anime do sports episodes with the exceptions of Angel Beats and JoJo. I suppose if a show has an obligatory sports episode it's best to get it out the way early.

GOD EATER (Japanese Dub) - Episode 03

I hear a lot of people are dropping this series. I'm sticking to it, been curious about the God Eater series and not to mention I don't drop shows (I put shows on hold for obvious seasons but aside from that I never dropped a show, except for Hetalia).

You played the games? I have and kinda enjoyed the anime (what was it... "The famous sign that can only be read from one side"?). But I thought the number of characters introduced might be a pit confusing to someone who hasn't played...?

My weekend viewing:

Baby Steps s2 ep17.

GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There ep4. Politics is starting to rear it's ugly head, things are about to get really complicated for everyone in the 'special zone'.

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water ep6-7.

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna ep5-7. This seems to be trying to set a record for most lolis in a series.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan ep16. It seems war elephants are overrated.

The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls s2 ep2. Everyone is doing their best in the face of adversity, as you would expect in any anime.

Hunter x Hunter-Episode 17-21

Episode 17: God damn, Killua is so cool.

Episode 19: Seeing this last phase of the exam has made me realise how refreshing Gon is as a Shounen protagonist. I love the fact he isn't just God like Goku and the like, he isn't even really a competent fighter, he just uses sheer will, determination and cunning to get by, and that's far more entertaining to watch than almost any other shounen.

Episode 21: And that's the end of the first arc. I think anyway, what Satotz said about the exam not actually being over is a little ambiguous. This first arc has been really enjoyable from start to finish. I'm really loving this show so far.

I have yes, 100% the first game on PS3 and a bit of the second game. I understand that the anime adapts bits of the main three games but so far it's basically an original story.

But I would recommend at least understanding how the Neptunia series works before watching the anime.

Apparently I also need to watch this (everyone knows that War Dogs are best anyway, especially when they're on fire).

I watched the last four episodes of Hanasaku Iroha.

It was satisfying, a very good way to end the series and something a bit different to what you might usually expect as well. Certainly worth a go if you have any interest in slice of life shows at all.

Hyperdimension Neptunia the Animation (English Dub) - Episodes 05-08

SO. MANY. REFERENCES.

So far I spotted:
- Bing
- Guilty Gear
- Kinect
- Mario
- Metal Gear Solid
- R-18 Eroge Warnings ~ the best reference ever, poor Blanc
- Skyrim
- Tetris

and many more.

Ending song is awesome.

Psycho pass movie.
All I can say is that it's good and feels like a true follow up to pp1 with more sequels to come. (skip pp2, it's all BS). Anyway, I know it isn't available legally (well without buying the Japanese blu rays then patching the subs onto it but none of my PCs can run blu ray) but I am definitely going to buy it when it is released (hopefully funi will be A/B so I can buy it along side season 1). Well the stream I was watching was terrible quality so I couldn't see what was going so that's a good incentive to buy it. The only problem is the terrible engrish which kinda ruins the film to an extent so the dub might actually be better.

Can't say I noticed either of those things myself. I watched the shows quite far apart and I have a very poor memory so by the time I watched PP2 I probably forgot a lot about PP outside of the general story beats, you could be right and I just don't really remember.
