I agree with this. The instant impression the show gives you is that nothing can make up for the downgrade from Makishima to Kamui, nor the abbreviated run time, but I still thought it was a very good show by the end.IncendiaryLemon said:PP2 gets too much flak. Was it as good as the first series? No. Was it still enjoyable? Definitely.
There's certainly an unusual amount of loli characters, even for a harem show. Four frequent side characters and a few more occasional ones as well.Smeelia said:What? Why was I not informed?! *runs off to watch the show*BanzaiJedi said:The Ambition of Oda Nobuna ep5-7. This seems to be trying to set a record for most lolis in a series.

It could be a "historical characters as girls" thing, I remember that Koihime Musou has quite a few. Not that it has anything to do with why I enjoy those kinds of shows or anything.BanzaiJedi said:There's certainly an unusual amount of loli characters, even for a harem show. I thought the same thing when I first watched it, apparently she may be even younger in the OVAs/movies (since they're mostly set before the TV show, I think). I guess it's just a case of standard "school age main characters".Professor Irony said:Slayers ep13-14
Surprised to hear Lina give her age as 15 - from her general attitude and sense of humour, I'd always assumed she was in her early 20s.
It's a shame MVM weren't able to do the whole lot on Blu-ray. The US releases seem fine though. I picked up the Movies on DVD (well, 1 and 2 anyway) but since I just watched the TV series and OVAs on Blu-ray recently I'll probably wait till I get the movies on Blu-ray too.AndrewJ56 said:I'm just rewatching the Patlabor 1st OVA series on Blu ray. For a series nearly 30 years old, it's looking sharpish. It's always weird, being that previously the films were the only releases - and they're very serious in tone. So, watching the OVA (and the tv series I bought years ago) it's weird to see a more light hearted tone here. But it's still a cracking little release!
