Jitsu wa Watashi wa (Japanese Dub) - Episode 04

Hilarious.

In case you haven't noticed, my current avatar pic is from the same show. Priceless reactions in this episode as well.

PP2 gets too much flak. Was it as good as the first series? No. Was it still enjoyable? Definitely.
I agree with this. The instant impression the show gives you is that nothing can make up for the downgrade from Makishima to Kamui, nor the abbreviated run time, but I still thought it was a very good show by the end.

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water ep8.

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna ep8-12 (complete). Not bad for a harem show, though my knowledge of ancient Japan is now completely confused. And it's always sad to see an anime set up so obviously for a second season that never happened.

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna ep5-7. This seems to be trying to set a record for most lolis in a series.
What? Why was I not informed?! *runs off to watch the show*
There's certainly an unusual amount of loli characters, even for a harem show. Four frequent side characters and a few more occasional ones as well.

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - Episodes 19 - 22 (Blu-ray)

ZZ has started to get pretty good in these last few episodes.

Little Norse Prince

I really enjoy this movie, not perfect by any means but there's something about the old fashioned story telling that makes it endearing compared to modern anime.

I thought PP2 started well but turned into a total mess in the second half, episode after episode of exposition dumps became very dull IMHO.

Oh yeah definitely, I just kinda wanted to use that gif since it had been sitting on my desktop waiting for an opportunity like this for a while now.

It could be a "historical characters as girls" thing, I remember that Koihime Musou has quite a few. Not that it has anything to do with why I enjoy those kinds of shows or anything.

Hunter x Hunter-Episodes 22-24
Episode 22: They finally got rid of that intro that was at the start of every episode, hoorah. Also, I really like how well the arcs transitioned. It felt really natural.

Episode 23: Well, that got a bit dark at the end.

I'm just rewatching the Patlabor 1st OVA series on Blu ray. For a series nearly 30 years old, it's looking sharpish. It's always weird, being that previously the films were the only releases - and they're very serious in tone. So, watching the OVA (and the tv series I bought years ago) it's weird to see a more light hearted tone here. But it's still a cracking little release!

kill la kill ep 1

 awesome I haven't seen anything like this since fooly cooly and gurren lagann

Not surprising given that Hiroyuki Imaishi worked on all three (directed Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, and was animation director for FLCL).

Watched "The World's Greatest First Love", Ep. 14-15.

Watched Non Non Biyori Repeat Episode 4.

No no, my face is just wet because it was raining today...

Renge's outfit kind of looked like a cross between a Tonberry and a Shy Guy. Or something like that.

Slayers ep13-14

Surprised to hear Lina give her age as 15 - from her general attitude and sense of humour, I'd always assumed she was in her early 20s.
I thought the same thing when I first watched it, apparently she may be even younger in the OVAs/movies (since they're mostly set before the TV show, I think). I guess it's just a case of standard "school age main characters".

It's a shame MVM weren't able to do the whole lot on Blu-ray. The US releases seem fine though. I picked up the Movies on DVD (well, 1 and 2 anyway) but since I just watched the TV series and OVAs on Blu-ray recently I'll probably wait till I get the movies on Blu-ray too.
