There's a directors cut of the final episode which is meant to be better, but it's not available through normal channels. I never bothered watching it myself though. I thought the show was pretty good to begin with, but the original ending killed it for me.

Ah, the inevitable Christmas episode. I always feel weird watching Christmas episodes when it's not Christmas, it feels like I'm not getting the full experience because I'm not in the right mood for it. Ah well, still an enjoyable enough episode. Also, is this a Claymore reference or is the wording just a coincidence?

The ending just left me cold. It was alright up until then, although i did find the girl Hajime really annoying as a character.

Episode 37: La Flaga piloting the Strike now is pretty cool although I do wish it was Cagalii...

Episode 38: I feel like I've been waiting for that Ramius and La Flaga kiss for an eternity.

I started watching Hanasaku Iroha, just the first two episodes so far. Seems like it's going to be interesting, I'd imagine the implications of the scene at the end of episode 2 will tend more into the comedy camp rather than getting super dark (well, I hope so). Everyone in the show seems to be kind of terrible in one way or another (well, maybe just flawed) but I think it gives enough hints that there's more to them and that kept me interested (I'm not usually keen on shows that consist of a bunch of horrible people being horrible to each other).

It'll be particularly interesting to see if the show can get me to like the main characters grandmother. Maybe she's just supposed to be a villain but she seems to have hints of possible Tsundere. Still, she's the bad kind of Tsundere at the moment and I don't think we've seen anything positive from her as such. I suppose it'll depend on how the show goes, if it wants me to sympathise with the grandmothers attitude "as is" then I think it might be pushing it's luck since she's way too far to the extreme (to the extent that I wonder if that is more for plot reasons than character ones). On the other hand, sometimes people do tolerate horrible people without having a good reason to so maybe it's supposed to be like that.

I think my favourite character at the moment is Minko because she's almost certainly Tsundere (in a good way). I liked her from the very first line she spoke.
 
Actually, I Am... ep1. Looks like a pleasant enough comedy show, nothing ground-breaking though. It could still become a favourite of mine for this season if its funny enough. I'm still not sure what the exact english title is, the promotional posters show it as 'I Am...' and Crunchyroll US shows it as 'Actually I Am', so I've just merged the two until things become a little more clear. Of course the manga is called 'My Monster Secret', which is a much better title all round imo.

Baby Steps s2 ep14. I've been watching Wimbeldon because of this. Well, bits of it anyway :p

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan ep15. You can breathe a sigh of relief, the time of Endless Eight has been and gone in this episode without any temporal loops or repetition, just lots of nods towards both it and the murder mystery island episodes.

Gundam Seed-Episodes 39 and 40

Episode 39: I knew that Athrun and Kira would have to reconcile eventually. Makes me wonder how long it will last. Also, they really seem to be pushing an Athrun and Cagalli relationship. Not sure how I feel about this, I kind of wanted Kira and Cagalli to get together...

Episode 40: I retract my last statement, maybe Cagalli and Kira shouldn't get together...

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - Episode 4 (Blu-ray)

The tone of ZZ really reminds me of L-Gaim and Dragonar, light and a bit silly at times but with a serious undertone running through it.

New Gundam announced today!! Very interested to see what they do with the franchise this time, needs a bit of a boost after AGE and Reconquista in G :?
 
I watched Non Non Biyori Repeat Episode 2, it was awesome. I figured it'd be a Hotarun episode since she barely appeared last time, which usually means some Koma-chan-Senpai too, it did not disappoint. I liked the way it filled in a gap from the first season, it helped explain Hotarun's feelings and develop the characters a bit. The first season worked fine as it was but this way I think it'll work a bit better. When I re-watch the show I might try it in chronological order (which would be alternating episodes at the moment, I think) to see how it works. It'd be a pain to switch discs though (although I could use Crunchyroll at least).

I was trying to figure out if there's a slight continuity error. When Hotarun visits Koma-chan-Senpai's house in the first season she says it's the first time but she's there in this episode (which should be before, I think), I guess she doesn't actually go in so maybe it still works.
