Gintama-Episodes 78-81

Episode 79: Wow. Only Gintama could make an episode about 4 guys stuck on the toilet and make it entertaining for 20 minutes.

Episode 81: Well that was a great arc. I love it when this show does 5 or 6 episode arcs as they are usually quite well done. For a show that is primarily comedy, it can do serious action and stories very well whilst still retaining the comedic edge.

Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic-Episode 10

God I love this show. Why does it have to end in two weeks? More importantly, why hasn't this been picked up for UK Release? Throw me a bone MVM...

I'm finally getting around to trialing some series due out in the next couple months on Blu-Ray.

No Game No Life - Episode 1
Meh. I just can't attach myself to the leads. Plus, ecchi is a no-go for me. I'm not big on chess, card games, etc. so I think the premise is a little bit silly too. Will pass on this.

Captain Earth - Episode 1
Wow, did I just watch Evangelion? Cryptic youth shows up, NERV layout control centre. I'll give it a few more episodes to tell a complete story and see if I pick this up.

Gintama (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 51-55

Long delay from watching this series but I've gone back to it. Episodes 51 and 52 was a great start, 53 has its moments and 54-55 cracked me up with the Hachiro reveal that he wasn't a guy (their faces were hilarious).

Favourite episodes so far:
28 - Virgos will die today!
34/35 - Four eyes dates a Cat Girl / Matsudaira goes Golgo on his daughter's date
38 - Kabukicho Snow Festival
41 -
Parasite infects Space Plane [Aliens vs Yakuza Part 2]
44 - SAVE ELIZABETH!
46 - Ane vs Otsu
50 - Best filler episode ever
54/55 - JUST DO IT.

Last night I finished the second season of Love Live! School Idol Project. After admittedly being left feeling mixed in regards to the first season, I thought that this was a huge improvement, with Rin's episode in particular standing out as a highlight of the series.

I do think that the series did draw out the whole third years graduating thing for too long though; it must have occupied a good chunk of the last three episodes, so while I found it touching to begin with, towards the end I found myself growing bored. Instead, I would have preferred to have seen more of the actual Love Live! (such as A-RISE's performance and some of the other competition?) and the results being announced. I thought it was pretty cheap to not only have them willing them winning the regional only being casually mentioned later, but the whole Love Live?!).

the Garden of Sinners: ...not nothing heart [Kara no Kyoukai 7: Satsujin Kousatsu (Part 2)] (Japanese Dub) - Film
the Garden of Sinners: Pre-Show Reminder [Kara no Kyoukai: Cinema Intros] (Japanese Dub) - Episode 07 (Complete)

This was an interesting one. It's one of the better KnK films thus far (the 2 hour length helps the film out a lot) in my opinion.

So far here's my list with the top being my favourite in the series:
- 5 - Paradox Paradigm
- 7 - ...not nothing heart
- 1 - Thanatos
- 3 - ever cry, never life
- 2 - ...and nothing heart
- 4 - garan-no-dou
- 6 - fairy tale.

All that's left now is the Epilogue, recalled out summer, and recalled out summer: Extra Chorus.

DanMachi-Episode 10

Solid episode with some good action. Also, more vague threats by the villain. So is Hermes working with the villain? Honestly, the villain shows up so infrequently I can't remember literally anything about her or her plans.

Non Non Biyori-Episodes 1 and 2

Episode 1: Well the show is cute, I'll give it that. It seems a little slow though, even by SOL standards. That seems very deliberate though, I think it's going for very low key.
Episode 2: I liked this episode a lot more. Showcased more humour, which I loved. I can't help but feel like the series was made for me. Cute girls doing cute things? Check. Funny? Check. Gorgeous art and animation? Check. Yuri undertones? Check. It's amazing.

the Garden of Sinners: the Garden of sinners [Kara no Kyoukai: Epilogue] (Japanese Dub) - Film
Knights of Sidonia (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 01-04

JJBASC: Egypt ep43-46

Finally caught up with Jojo, so I'll just summarise my thoughts on that segment.

- In the end, it felt like Avdol was really short-changed for character development compared to the others. I can't help wondering if Araki intended for him to die in India, but was coerced into bringing him back, possibly due to an unforseen extention to the manga's run.

- Vanilla Ice turned out to be a far more interesting fight than I expected, but following straight on into the segments with Suzie Q and Nukesaku felt a bit flippant and jarring.

- The World is every bit as awesome as Dio's stand needed to be, but I feel his role in Stardust Crusaders overall was nowhere near as big as it should have been.

Man, next week is going to be intense. Has it been confirmed how many episodes this show is going to have?
