Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 Episode 63

Sorairo Utility ep6-8

Away from the magical girl simulwatch, this is really all I’ve been watching lately, but I find that it’s not one I have much to say about on an episode-to-episode basis. It continues to be a very charming little series; a few hints of conflict are seeping in around Haruka possibly harbouring thwarted ambitions of a professional career, but they’re keeping it light, even if they did manage to squeeze in a Golgo 13 joke.

Shikabane Hime (Corpse Princess: Aka) ep1

Was briefly talking to some other folk about late-game Gainax shows the other day and I suddenly remembered this was a thing that existed. My memory is of it being a fairly nuts and bolts horror/action series that I think I took umbrage to at the time because I suspected the fansubs of being poorly scripted, but hey, sometimes you just want to watch an undead girl killing monsters with a machinegun, so here I am.

Coming back to it now, it’s a lot more nicely animated than I remember (although I’ve probably just doomed it to go down after ep1 by saying that), but even by anime standards, the male lead does seem like an absolute personality vacuum. It would be nice if there were a little more flair to the shots of heroine Makina firing her guns, but if the visuals stay at this standard I’ll likely stick with it.

Saving 80,000 Gold In Another World episodes 1-7: interesting concept, but I'm not very impressed with the patronising attitude of Mitsuha towards the people in the medieval world. Maybe she'll improve in the second half.

Dr. Stone: Science Future episode 9 Sufficient intimidation.

Momentary Lily episode 10 Accessing the core.

Rurouni Kenshin -Kyoto Disturbance- episode 45 Spread.

Trillion Game episode 22 High rollers.

Fate/Stay Night (Rewatch) episodes 11-21

City Hunter: Angel Dust (Japanese) - Movie (Complete)

This is my second outing with the City Hunter series (the first being the last movie, Shinjuku Private Eyes) and though this is adapting the beginning of the final arc and I'm going off not much prior knowledge I still found this a fantastic movie and a step-up from Shinjuku Private Eyes (which I liked a lot as well).

Once I finally pick up and watch the rest of the series it will be good to re-visit these two movies but so far I'm throughly enjoying what I've seen of City Hunter.

I would say though it somewhat helps if you have seen Shinjuku Private Eyes at least prior to this, due to the Cat's Eye connections / cameos in these movies (which was shown in the trailers so not a spoiler).

There was also another short but sweet little cameo of a few characters from a favourite series of mine (which was revealed beforehand so I knew it was coming but was nice all the same).

Going off of the end it seems we'll be getting a continuation sometime in the future which I'm looking forward to.

Love Me, Love Me Not (Japanese) - Movie (Complete)

This was a nice, cute, somewhat love triangle high school romance movie with some gorgeous looking scenes. Nothing you haven't seen before but it does it very well I felt and was a good time all around which is all you need sometimes. I'd recommend personally if you're into these types of stories.

Dr. STONE: Science Future Episode 9

Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest Episode 9

The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World Episode 9

Saving 80,000 Gold In Another World episodes 1-7: while I enjoyed some aspects of the anime, I did feel like Mitsuha was acting like one of those explorers from the olden days, selling beads to the natives for gold while looking down upon them. And why is a 18(?) year old so desperate to amass enough wealth to retire right away? The series ending should make that a pointless goal.

Armor Shop for Ladies and Gentlemen complete series 1 & 2 + OVAs: Well, the case claimed a running time of 177 minutes, but with 24 four minute episodes and 3 five-ish minute OVAs. I only saw 111 minutes of content on the BR. Not sure I enjoyed the shortness of each episode as the credits start to roll just as the plot gets established. At least they played around with the credits, so you're not seeing exactly the same thing 24 times in under two hours.

Sorairo Utility (TV) episode 10 Small competition.

Tasokare Hotel episode 10 Twilight truths.

Fate/Stay Night (Rewatch) episodes 22-24 (Complete. It’s been a long while since I first watched this and though it has flaws this was my introduction to the Fate franchise and one of the earlier anime series’ in general that I watched when getting into the medium, so I have a fondness for it in that regard.) 3.5/5

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (Rewatch)
Prologue, episodes 1-12, Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season (Rewatch) episodes 13-20

Hey now, Apothecary Diaries is my #2 GOAT anime series, right behind Violet Evergarden, and just ahead of Hanasakeru Seishōnen... 🫡
Yes, you have mentioned it but there was never any selling that made me want to watch it.
Somebody went on about world building and beautiful characters. That didn't get me interested.
Otherwise it was The Apothecary Diaries episode 1 etc with no information about the show.

Mushoku Tensei episodes 1-11: another isekai, with a shut-in protagonist reincarnated into a fantasy world with all his memories. Not impressed with the attitude towards women (shag 'em all, don't take no for an answer), which explains why the main female cast members are so violent. Good special effects and the potential for the story to improve.
