Watching over her.
A really intense thriller at times with salaryman v the Yakuza. His use of certain techniques to get through situations were explained by the fact he was a crime novel nut, but as clever as they were some were a bit far fetched. I didn't think the ending was the best either, definitely felt like there should have been more to it, but overall the story was very interesting.
Art and animation weren't the best though. Still

This was a pretty straight SoL rather than the romance I thought it might be, the furthest we got were feelings (inner monologue only) and a kinda-sorta date. But the characters were all quite likable especially Mitsumi, our lead, so it was still very enjoyable.
The art was fairly unique and the animation pretty good.

The Ancient Magus' Bride s2 e12 (complete)
Sealed.
This arc introduces a ton of new characters with seemingly interesting backstories, and relationships, etc, but I felt none of them were fully explored. The story also didn't seem to flow very well with scenes jumping to different locations without explanation on occasion. I feel like I have no idea of what is happening, especially big picture, bar they're supposed to be at school, but random bad stuff keeps happening to them. The directorship/series composition was by a first timer.
I will say it was hard to tell from an art and animation point of view that there had been a change in studio/director though.
