Oh I totally forgot about that with the Christmas and New Years I've had...I've learnt that I'm not good with maths...

So i'm sat there on christmas day at which point I get given an envelope. I know what this is ahead of time of course, it's those tax discs. So there I am, somewhat giddy with excitement, opening them and taking them out expecting to be surprised. I was surprised in a totally different manner however...My mother, dead seriously, said to my face "Those are for when you have a car."

...Come again? "We've been nestling some things away for you like cuttlery and stuff and we thought those would come in handy, when you eventually get a car!"

A week and a half later and I'm still not sure how i'm supposed to respond to that! At least I now know I'm bad at maths! :D

Oh man, I would be totally the same. :-/ So hard to know how to react in a situation like that, because you don't want to make your parents feel bad but it is definitely a weird way for things to turn out.
 
Ill but in a good mood.

I'm currently musing over my New years resolutions:

1 get atleast a 4pack back before july latest.
2 get another job / get out of this place (half done)
3 a temp who has been getting too big headed and trying to undermine others, get her fired by the end of the month - 99% there, just waiting the month out now.

" 'coz 2 out of 3 ain't bad" should get back to the gym soon so already got most of them sorted before january is out :)

Yeah the Saints are losing it far too much though. Although saying that there's the first SF turnover! Lets see if the Saints can capitalise on this in time...

It's weird, yet again i've managed not to watch that much during the normal season but i'm here for the play offs and superbowl. I am very much looking forward to the Jets vs Packers tomorrow, as well as the Patriots against the Broncos later.

Edit: This game is brilliant. They're both going all out for this!

I didn't feel up for the Patriots-Bronco game after the brilliant showing before, the last quarter was just electric! I went to bed after the Patriots were 2 touchdowns ahead in the 1st with ease. It was fun to watch via highlights but the game of the night was easily the 49ers one.
 
People wanted to watch Sherlock tonight (first episode I've seen... and it was pretty great. Gonna have to pick up the first season from town tomorrow), so I am just about to start watching a recording of tonight's games. The Texans/Ravens game should be close, at least, but I'm expecting Saints/Niners style fireworks from the Giants/Packers game.
 
Watching Australian Open tennis at the moment, sadly watching the UK's Heather Watson get a beating. :(

Also hovering over the buy button for Sound of the Sky on amazon, I'll probably cave in and press it before the night is out.

I feel almost creepy, being the only one on this forum all by myself at this time of night...
 
Wondering why no-one produces a wireless doorbell with screws which go through the front cover plate, securely fastening the whole thing to the wall and stopping passing drunks / idiots from breaking / nicking it.

There are literately none to be found. You can just pull the front (thus the actual button and electronics) off all of them. Crazy.
 
Surfing the internet whilst trying to piece together this tattoo design, i have a fair few ideas in mind but getting them onto paper/onto the computer is proving alittle tedious.

So far i have assembled a eagles head and wing with the idea of having the U.S.A flag in the background but arranging the tribal patterns of the head with the wing is annoying to say the least.

British bulldog with a bowler hat and monacle afront a union jack in mind and sure it won't be a tribal design.

A personalised skull with norse influenced hilt puncturing the skull from atop with bat wings aside the skull seems to look really well but still feels like it needs work.

These tattoo designs aren't for me, im merely taking some time to create them, preventing boredom in the workplace.
