What you guys doing right now.

Wasn't it like 250 yen to the pound at some point? That's gotta hurt.
Not that long ago, but long enough ago that I don't really remember it. When I first went to Japan it was 200 to the pound, and about 180 before The Crash.

Now 118.774. ;_;

Legit at the point where I am actively scaling back imports to some extent... except I still want a PS Vita this year. >_>

I have a similarly risky Secondspin package out there too thanks to the recent coupons ;_; and I don't even want the contents that much. Wretched currencies...
Down to £1 = $1.356 and my order is getting perilously close to the limit. I also don't really want most of what I ordered (indeed, about 90 percent of the DVDs I've ever bought from SS have been sold on) but I do want the copy of Raiden III (PS2) I nabbed for £4. It could end up being less of a bargain than I, uh, bargained for.

At least I don't import from Japan though /o\

OT;

Sat in work, with the Tau bitz pack i received in the post this morning, mading models at my desk (literally taking hours to do as i can only glue one bit at random intervals of time lol)

No plans tonight, probably relax for once. Back to being busy tomorrow though so hoping to catch up on some supernatural

As I have told you before, you don't need to worry about the spot rate, only the rate listed for this month on HMRC's site. :p

Although at this rate, even major currencies might start qualifying for more sudden updates. :lol:

Yes, I know how it works, but if the exchange rate continues its seemingly inexorable slide into oblivion, then HMRC's October rate will be set too low for my parcel to slip through unscathed (it won't arrive for another 2-3 weeks)...

Ahh, that makes more sense.

If it's any consolation, by the time October rolls around the entire planet may have collapsed into anarchy as the global economy disintegrates, and you won't be so worried about anime so much as not being killed in riots that are setting waste to any and all major population areas?

Just spoken to the manager - told i should just get on with it...... so thats it, i'll keep throwing up and when the health department of the nhs comes in and closes the whole place down then i'll say "told you so".

not bothering to get out of bed tomorrow, just fu.ck it.

Sitting waiting for my student loan to magically appear in my account. So I can waste it.
I'm still waiting on confirmation of my tuition fees, bursary and student loan. Thank God I have money saved up.
They're all bloody hopeless, the amount of I.D they wanted from me is preposterous, seriously, it's not like I'm an illegal immigrant or anything and in then end I didn't get into uni, what a waste of time

The relative speed with which the sterling/dollar recovered has seen the October rate set to allow anything up to $28.09. Is this a win for you?

Slowly, but surely, attempting to get my Council Tax sorted out so i don't need to pay the entire thing at once. Also got my flat rent sorted out at the bank, but still need to set up the payment for this month via online banking, of course, the online side of things hates it. Bank of Scotland "encouraging online banking - online banking doesn't work"

Also, brought a freezer round to the house.
