I was there also, brilliant stuff
I love music so I'd hopped at the chance to get tickets for this; there's not enough of these sorts of things in the UK. I was gutted to realise I missed the Zelda one last month.
Shame I didnt realise any of you were going or I'd probably have been happy to meet up for a drink or two before hand, although I had a b*****d time with the trains/underground as so many line closures etc.
I actually quite enjoyed the I-VI sections (although I thought Dancing Man was perhaps a bit much) as I played a lot of the older titles when I was younger, so some of the melodies brought back memories that's for sure.
I was actually expecting to hear a bit more from 7 being honest, given how popular it is. Really liked hearing the full version of the fanfare at the beginning too; it's not included on a lot of stuff, but it was more or less Square's unofficial theme for at least a few years.
I did have to laugh though when they discussed the 25th anniversary though, and given Square-Enix people were there, you heard (what sounded like at least a few people) shout 'FINAL FANTASY 7!!'. Made me laugh a little; in terms of marketing, it'd definately be a good move to release a well done remake on the 25th anniversary of the series, as arguably the biggest (at least in the West) of the series.
I may well be back next year with the brother who didnt go this time round.
Highlights for me would probably have been:
Various 1-3 Medleys, Aeris' Theme, Opera and Zanarkand.
One-Winged Angel was also a virtually expected closure, was quite amusing to see Nobuo (I could see him clearly from my seat) singing along to the entire thing.
