What manga are you reading now?

Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 10-12

Covers the rest of episode 9 and the first third of episode 10 from the anime. Kirito, Asuna, Klein and some surviving soldiers fight the 74th Boss. Then Heathcliff wants a duel against Kirito (which he accepts) due to his secret unique skill.

I'm about half-way now but this book really is catching up with the main journey's events.

Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 13-18

I didn't have time to read some chapters on Friday so I read twice as much yesterday.

Chapter 13 covers the duel between Kirito and Heathcliff, in the end Kirito loses (first third of Episode 10)
Chapter 14 covers Kirito explaining to Asuna about why he stays solo, also gives a brief recap of what happened to the Moonlit Black Cats, and ends up joining Godfree to do a task which ends with the appearance of Kuradeel (second third of Episode 10 plus the events of Episode 3)
Chapter 15 covers Kuradeel's trap where everyone gets paralysed and Asuna saves the day. Kirito and Asuna accept each overs love (the last third of Episode 10)
Chapter 16 covers the duo taking a temporary break from the guild, goes to Asuna's house, gets married and we all witness Asuna in her underwear (the beginning of Episode 11)
Chapter 17 is very very short. It basically explains the four levels that a player can be in; strangers, friends, guild member and marriage and they get a house on one of the lower floors (the beginning of Episode 11)
Chapter 18 covers the first part of the fishing scene (first half of Episode 13). Yep that's right, the whole Yui thing is in the second volume.

So far I am enjoying this light novel, the designs for the characters are pretty good in this book (based on the 1 page pictures) and the story's pacing is well done. About 6 more chapters (I think) till the volume ends.

Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 19-24

Finished the light novel.

Chapter 19 covers the fishing event
Chapter 20 covers the current situation with the boss fight while Kirito wants Asuna to stay behind
Chapter 21 covers the boss fight
Chapter 22 covers the reveal that Heathcliff is Kayaba, Kirito duels with Kayaba and Asuna 'dies'
Chapter 23 covers Kirito regaining his faith that he can win the duel (by avoiding death) and defeats Kayaba. He reunites with Asuna and is revealed that Kayaba have intentionally kept them from dying so that he can talk to them personally. Kirito reveals his true name and age while Asuna does the same.
Chapter 24 covers Kazuto waking up and finding himself bed ridden in a hospital. He tries to get up and leave to find Asuna

Wow, that's a large number of chapters for a 256 page light novel. Guess it's bite sized chunks opposed to the more conventional 4-6 chapter faire.

Just finished reading the two Oriko Magica volumes - was really pleasantly surprised as I'd read the first of the Madoka manga adaptations and felt like it was a pretty poor conversion from the TV show, but this was far superior. In some ways, felt even darker in tone than the show itself. The art style takes some getting used to, as again, it's quite different from the show, but lends itself to the tone of the two volumes well.

Kanokon 4 (2nd half of the 3-4 Omnibus) - Things are finally starting to move along, feels like these are the plot threads that were ignored for the Anime.

Manga current reading list:
Naruto upto date 678
Ouran High School Host Club read volumes 15-16 love it absolutely hilarious (Awaiting 17-18 for library pick up)
Sailor Moon read most recently alongside Rurouni Kenshin read volumes 6-9 between Tuesday and Thursday whilst on travelling. All I'll say is I find the original manga much more interesting than it's Anime counterpart where they are obvious differences with how the characters are treated, the plots etc(which I'm also watching at the moment SuperS).(Awaiting volume 10 for library pick up)
Rurouni Kenshin- Started reading at volume 18(As the Anime only covered a certain part of the manga) just gotta love it and Watsuki's style is just gorgeous.Read volumes 18 and 19 on way back from travelling on Friday.Waiting for other volumes to come in the post :D .

I am up to date on... Attack on Titan. I think that's all. ^^;

I'm enjoying it, it's just the chapter was ridiculously long that I wanted to finish off the chapter and do some other stuff. I'll probably read some more later tonight if there's nothing to do.
