Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 1-3

So far covering the first episode. I'm already hooked.

I'm about the same place. I wasn't sure how I would take to it in novel form but it's excellent! It really works.

Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 4-6

Looks like these few chapters cover the first half of episode 8 where Kirito finds a rabbit and hangs out with Asuna at her home.

Sword Art Online LN 1: Aincrad 1 - Chapters 7-9

Covers the second half of episode 8 and the first third of episode 9 of the anime. Kirito fights Asuna's guard/stalker, wins and then goes off with Asuna to witness the boss for the 74th floor.

I've not seen the SoO Anime but from your 3 posts it seems the 1st novel skips some of the Anime episodes, were those just filler episodes or did the Anime go out of order when covering the material from the novels?

The novels had a different take to the series, basically the second volume had different events at different time periods while the first volume focuses on the main journey.

The anime was placed into chronological order from these events, which as a result confused people for acting like it was a harem.

As a result, I'm interested to see how Fairy Dance was like in the novels in comparison the 9 episode arc.

Ah I see, I guess that shows the differences in the medium. What works well in book form would confuse the hell out of an Anime audience.

As for Manga read recently

Triage X 1-3
Rosario Vampire Season 2 Vol 12 - (long wait for vol 13 even though I didn't read this as soon as I bough it)
Is this a Zombie 4 - jumps around a bit, making me strongly suspect it's aimed at people who've read the novels (as having watched the Anime is not helping me massively)
