What manga are you reading now?

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable-Volume 2 (Chapters 10-18)

2 very interesting Stands. I especially loved Bad Company, great idea for a Stand. I liked Okuyasu's Stand in theory but I don't think it's true potential has been shown yet, and I assume that he'll be sticking around.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable-Volume 3 (Chapters 19-28)

Koichi's stand is kind of weird. Not sure how useful it will be. I thought the lock was kind of a lame stand but I liked Surface. I wondered how long it would be before there was a cloning stand.

Okay, so Stands can evolve now? Interesting. Earlier, when I said Koichi's stand doesn't seem very useful? I take that back now I know he can change the physical properties of objects. That seems incredibly useful. Also, in my last post, I said I wondered how long it would be before there was a cloning stand. I today remembered they already did that in Part 3 with Temperance. I'm an idiot.

Master Keaton (Manga) - Volume 01, Chapters 07-12 (On-Hold until I buy the next volume)

This manga is really good. Each chapter is episodic (or in some cases, a two-parter or a three-parter) and they have some really interesting stories. My only problem is that due to the slow-ish pace it can be quite hard to marathon through the chapters so I take breaks between every two chapters, but I managed to go through the recent six chapters today (with some breaks inbetween due to dinner).

Overall I do recommend you try out this manga, it may not be as quick as Monster but it's an interesting read. There's an anime adaptation from years back (1998-1999 from studio Madhouse) but it's no longer available.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable-Volume 5 (Chapters 38-47)

The first arc in this volume, Let's Go Out for Italian, was very strange. I think that this is the first time that I've seen a Stand encounter that didn't have a fight in it. It was still enjoyable though. I'm also really liking the Red Hot Chili Peppers arc, although I didn't think it would come so early.

Oh god, you're not reading the Duwang scans are you?
I think the Duwang translation is still the only way to finish part 4 unless they finished re-translating it? The later scans aren't quite so bad, tbf but it still has its moments.

At first I wasn't scared but then I went to sleep and I was. The manga itself was pretty good though, it was cool to see each character start to crack in their own way when put under pressure.

A group called the Invincible Trio retranslated the entire Part last year. I won't link you because it's probably legally muddy but they're easy enough to find. Needless to say, it's a bit of an improvment

Oh god, that's the first I've actually seen the Duwang version out with that most famous page. I'd heard it was bad, but gee whiz. Were they actually serious with that? I'd have thought it was a joke to look at it...
