Playing Fate/Stay Night the visual novel now...man its addicting
The portuguese didn't exterminate all the population, they rather sell trinkets and mirrors in exchange for that yellow rocks the natives had... Eventually, instead of killing them all, they decided to enslave them all. It's all the same fun, I guess... =/kupocake said:A game about colonialism without an 'exterminate population' button? Surely there is some mistake.
Hmm. I am hoping the next patch will address a few of the problems. The economy is about right, pretty hard but fair, the battles are fine since the first patch but controlling your society is just a nightmare. It takes ages to convert populations because of your limited supply of slow moving missionaries, you can't put down rebelling civilians in any other kind of effective way except for huge, expensive garrisons (even then you still can't make them happy enough to tax them) and you can fire ministers from your government, but you don't get to choose who replaces them.Ryo Chan said:i'm refusing to play empire till CA have created enough patches to move the game from beta mode to released mode.
Usually only if they attack you on the world map, which is how it should be. I got fed up with enemy armies aggressively attacking you on the world map only to sit there on the battle map and wait for you to come to them. In what way did they "attack" you?Ryo Chan said:the enemy just charge you now, insteado ff attacking from range, meaning they're instantly cut down

I find it VERY hard to go back to the old FFs via the Playstation versions. They're just so poorly optimised. A lot more fun on a cartridge... so that's pretty much the GBA version or the (historically significant!) fan translation. I suppose the version of 5 isn't as bad as 6... but it still could be quicker.iisan said:Final Fantasy V (PSX)
Finally starting to be able to play the older FFs.
I used to get absolutely no enjoyment out of anything before VI.
I guess I've grown or... something.
But I'm really enjoying it this time through.
