What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

I find that I enjoy the Dirty Pair anime more than I used to. Back in the 90s I read Adam Warren's comics first and was always disappointed that the anime wasn't more like those, but I guess I finally got over that. You could say I've developed a more mature and sophisticated appreciation of watching two girls in hotpants running around firing bazookas. 🙃

Heh, I guess it really does depend on what you experienced first. I saw the series long before and I hated Adam Warren's comic, and how he like to draw them like they were about to fall out of their outfits. The show is very tame and dare I say wholesome, which the comic definitely was not. I also just thought Adam was terrible at drawing.

I've seen it said the comic was more inspired by the original novels or whatever that source material was. As far as writing goes, I have no idea, but in terms of art it definitely was not.

Adam Warren dirty pair is satire your taking it way to seriously.

I didn't back the Dirty Pair Kickstarter (and it wouldn't have made a difference if I had...), so I figured it was time to fill in the gaps in my collection. This is the second half of the TV series and the Flash OAVs.

Can't comment on Adam Warren's Dirty Pair comics as haven't read but Empowered is so awesome though! :)

I got Kanokon from the Media Blasters booth at the annual con I go to every year last week and told them to keep the poster as I have no use for it. Also talked to John Sirabella for a few minutes and he told me what the next release is going to be (no, not Nanako). Sorry, but I can't reveal what it'll be but I will say it'll be a big surprise!

Amazon delivered soil for my house planets. The mission is to keep grow cactuses from seeds and keep a Venus Flytrap alive.

My order also included Ishura Volume 1: The New Demon King War. The series caught my eye in Waterstones because the 2nd promises ‘A Particle Storm in the Realm of Slaughter’. Which sounds like it would be promising.

I have also read some of Empowered before and it was very fun.

I received these two titles from Crunchyroll two days ago on 9/6; I picked up both of these basically for completion's sake. I already have the the first two seasons of Queen's Blade, and both the Discotek and Anime Limited CE versions of the Gunbuster OVA series:

My order from Zen Market arrived yesterday. It was the hardcover art book for Lupin the Third: The Woman Call Fujiko Mine, Trigun: Rough Drawing Archives and two albums by Tipographica: The Man Who Does Not Nod and God Says I Can’t Dance.

Trigun Rough Drawing Archives is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a collection of the very rough outlines of illustrations and pages Nightow did across the series lifespan.

The Art Works of Fujiko Mine is similar yet deceptively named. It is collection of storyboards and key frames used in the production of the anime. If you were hoping for a lot of full colour illustrations and promotional art then this isn’t the book for that.

saw a very decent deal on the OG Gundam Trilogy 4Ks so couldn't help myself (anyone want to buy the Bluray lol)
also picked up R1 Adachi blu as it's never going to come out here (I prefer the books but it's a decent adaption)
and finally I completed the OG Sailor Moon series - I haven't actually seen S5 so pretty hyped to watch it!
