Barakamon is a blind buy for me, wanted to see it for a while as it looks kinda charming but was always more than I wanted to pay for it, a user on the site discord kindly added it to their bogof order for me as they only wanted 5 items. Looking forward to actually giving it a watch, whenever that may be...Barakamon is one of all time favourites, never heard of the other one...

looks like a really nice book though, perhaps I should give it a watch so I can actually read it.

I watched this on Crunchyroll, thanks to a recommendation from a YouTube top 10 video. And I agree with @HWR , I really liked the series.
I saw it on VICELAND last year. It was pretty good, but I felt it could have explored its themes a little better. Definitely fell short of the best Ghibli (having a quick thumb through the book, the director names Laputa as an influence). But it was £10, sooooo!I've had this since the kickstarter and I still haven't watched it
