Man, I really wish I could justify Aniplex prices. I love Madoka, one of my top 3 favourite shows, but £60 for one movie. Jesus. Like, I could afford it but I don't think I'd really want to dish out that much. The rightstuff price is better but I'm not sure how much customs would be.

Think of it this way. You're paying for what is effectively the Japanese BD with an English dub added and subtitled extras as well as the DVD & OST Disc in a nice glossy box. Manga's release will be the usual western release affair where it just won't compare quality wise. If you love the show that much, treat yourself to the best quality, definitive edition of it ;)
Manga's release of the TV series wasn't exactly stellar, using around half the space on each of the three BD25s included in the set.

*FYI, this is actually my second time buying rebellion. I own the Japanese BD Import :D

I think I could just about justify Aniplex prices if I were in the US... But adding international shipping and customs to those prices usually ends up with a proposition that kinda takes the biscuit.

You have a point. I've been wanting to watch this movie for ages and I do love Madoka. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it. Did you order from Rightstuff? If so, how was customs? Including P+P it's $10 cheaper on Rightstuff than UP1 but UP1 doesn't have any import tax so if it's more than $10 worth I might as well go for UP1.

I bet it feels strange to own the Rebellion OST twice heh heh.

I do have plans to get the Madoka Dubbed films (I did enjoy the TV dub), not sure when I'll get them.

20% VAT if you get hit by them, and there might be another fee to add (I'm not familiar with the UK customs system). No idea how likely it is though, I've never ordered from Rightstuf so I don't know how they ship. Taxes are less likely on RSAL and below.

Right Stuf make it clear on their customs forms what's in the box AND its full value. YOU WILL get caught and YOU WILL pay an extra £8 on top of the VAT charges 'cause Royal Mail are a bunch of money grubbing asshats

Few more arrivals today.
