I refuse to buy garden of the sinners until it gets released on blu ray but if in twelve months that hasn't happened I'll buy this.

The only problem of waiting is that it seems they have only 2k copies available, that's why iIve decided to buy actually even though I wanted on BD. If it ever comes out, I guess I'll buy it again, this show deserves it! But hey, even AUS doesnt have the BD's so I dont see it happening in the UK. :\ Unfortunately I must say.. May I be totally wrong...

For those who don't import it is a problem indeed. If I didn't have the ability to import I would have pre-ordered the set immediately but there's already a version I want and it's pricey (still have no idea why they didn't subtitle Mirai Fukuin)

This is your only option if you want the show on BD (Which I highly recommend!) I imported the set last year and I couldn't have been happier.

All for the super-low price of £157 excluding VAT and shipping. Anyone need a kidney?

I might get MVM's DVD release if the packaging is nice enough. There are always... options for watching the films without horrible low-res DVD subtitles and video.

In other cover news, I received MVM's Bodacious Space Pirates Blu-rays (I'm aware of the 1080i issue but honestly my set-up is so modest that I'd need to have my face pressed against the screen to notice). The cover would be decent if not for the title being on there in two separate places.

...why is the title on the cover in two separate places?

So does this have English subs? I had no idea this existed and if it has English subs I will cancel my dvd pre-order and buy this just now.

It contains all 7 movies, the Pre-show shorts and the Epilogue, all with English and/or Japanese Subtitles.
It does not contain the Remix: Gate of Seventh Heaven special as that was exclusive to the original Japanese LE, and is not included on Western releases either.
There's also some images which Sinthetic posted to Amazon JP if you want more of a look at the set.

The separate Mirai Fukuin movie does not have any subs at all though if you were looking to get that too. I think it's OOP anyway.

That's fantastic, I was pretty gutted that I would have to buy this on DVD to be honest, glad I was lurking and saw this, thanks.

Looks like Anime Limited have used US style Blu-ray cases for Cowboy Bebop: Complete Series Blu-ray Standard Edition

Overlapping discs don't bother me that much. A number of steelbooks I have are like that. The overlapping hasn't caused any damage to the discs. Gurren is looking good and I can't wait to get it, but I still dislike digibooks. If any of those clips that hold the discs break, you're screwed as you can't replace them.

Are those double disc holsters the "death-grip" ones? As in, they hold the discs on the side? I have those with a few other cases and I'm really not a fan as you have to use the pressure of the disc to push from the top of the disc downwards to pop the disc out.

That looks much, much better than I was expecting, It's really nice. I can understand why that piece of art was not used for the artbox now.
I just hope the digipack holders aren't like the ones for Persona 4 The Animation. They are the worst things I've ever come across.
They look more like disc holders in the Attack on Titan Collectors digibook sets though saying that. If that's the case I just hope the discs stay in place.

I'm assuming the artwork other side of the digipack will be this seeing as it was the reverse of the JP BD Box.

Even though its probably in my top10 to not say top5 anime, i would never spend all that money in a anime series. I love the show but still its too much, when I was in tokyo, I had the set in front of me but it was too much. Maybe one day when I get back, if its cheaper and I find it, maybe ill close my eyes and pick it up from the shelve, pay it and go. All in 2min so I dont think about the money lolol

The Gurren Laggan UK collection have a very good price compared to the Aniplex collection.

I will most likely be getting this for my collection.

The CE has been pre-ordered since Day 1, cannot wait to finally watch this show, set looks awesome! Heard Season 2 is even better so fingers crossed AL get that out soonish too :)
