Considering Anime Limited have helped bring the original visual novel over to English, it's possible that they have also licensed the movie versions of the anime series (Remember MVM doesn't license films anymore).
Damn that looks so nice. Hope AL brings it over here.

Finally - a decent spine from AL - although the big A logo is a bit meh

I quite like it actually, it's that sort of format I think many US fans would be pleased with if they used it for Mai Mai Miracle.

Who's harmony gold?

A US distributor who is pretty much taking the Macross franchise hostage.

They trademarked the name Macross so no one can use it outside of Japan and although they got the rights to Super Dimensional Fortress Macross (the very first series) they don't own the rights to the other Macross titles but they still claim that they do. They used the contents of SDFM to make Robotech alongside Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada (Super Dimension Century Orguss was originally going to be part of the Robotech saga but was skipped thankfully). The Japanese companies who own the franchise haven't even bothered to file a lawsuit against them to get the franchise back.

The only way for Macross to be free again is to make Harmony Gold bankrupt, force them to give up the trademark or have the Japanese aggressively fight back so they get wiped out of the map.

Thanks for the info. I assume this didn't apply back in the day as I have at least one version of Macross on Manga VHS somewhere.

Not sure if these have been posted. But @Anime in France seem to be re-releasing some of their titles. In different editions (Elfen Lied) and even trying to Quantum Leap (put right what once went wrong) Attack On Titan.

Is that the AoT animated film or the live action film?

Not a big fan of how the set looks like at all if I'm honest so even if the delivery was cheap/free it would be a very very easy pass. And for prosperity's sake:

Shipping Option:
EMS $89.80
TNT $117.77

I like the Akame ga Kill set - looking at the spine, looks like the collection 2 release will be like a connecting spine, featuring the other members of night raid

I definitely prefer that Shirobako cover; although I would appreciate it if all twelve episodes weren't on a single disc.

Kind of surprising to see a 5.1 track on a Sentai BD. I don't think they've done it for one of their own TV dubs since HOTD. They must have high hopes for the show.

After seeing some of Sentai's recent work, I am cautiously optimistic. Their new encoder has put out some really good looking BDs recently (Haikyuu!!, Kyoukai, Oregairu, that Elfen Lied clone) but also some utter crap (Muv Luv, Majestic Prince, Black Bullet), so it really could go either way. Given the issues in the latter three I can only assume that a fair amount of it will be down to the masters they receive.

I didn't dislike the previous Shirobako cover but I do think the new one seems more suitable. It'll be interesting to see what they put on the second set. I suppose it could possibly be that first picture, at least all the characters would be more relevant. They could also do things a bit differently, there could be some fun images to pick from. Something with Seiichi could be interesting.
