I guess Miss Hokusai in France is getting an Ultimate Edition. According to the description it comes with a wooden box, a digipack with 3 discs (DVD, BD and Bonus disc (1hour 20 mins)) and a 60 page booklet. The Amazon Exclusive Japanese edition came with a 450 page storyboard.

I like the Root A packaging but wish the background was black rather than white - oh well, minor thing. I wonder how Funimation will approach Root A, given what happened with their CE for the first season.

As for Tamako Market - it makes me sad that any Kyoto Animation series is not getting a CE. Luckily for K-On, Haruhi and Clannad the JP sets are English friendly but yeah I wish Tamako got a better release than just bare bones.

I'm not really sure which of the covers I'd prefer for Miss Hokusai, I think the first picture is better for the main character but it does feel like it makes sense to have the other characters on the cover as well. I guess something that gives the best of both worlds would be nice.

Nothing is more painful than buying a Nintendo Europe Limited Edition game, then noticing that the box is plastered with the logos for PEGI, USK and the Russian rating board. Especially when it's a Nintendo 3DS game, because they end up taking up about 1/3 of the cover-art.

The USK logo really does not need to be that big.
