Well not clear yet if this will have room to also hold Collection 2 ;)

The pictures have 1 on the front cover and spine, so maybe that could be an indicator? (probably just a mistake, though)

Regardless, wasn't a big fan of the series, so I'll be passing on it.

No. Each OVA had its individual release. The box need to be big enough to hold the 10 mediabooks + an eleventh for The Dawn.

@Anime posted some pics of the French release of Terror in Resonance on Facebook

It goes without saying that the mouse mat and key rings are not a part of the set as the pictures are for a competition.
Terror in Resonance Collector's Edition
Release Date: November 10th 2015
Format: Two-Disc Set (BD)
Run Time: 275 mins
Audio: French / Japanese
Subtitles: French
Extras: 36 Page Storyboard Booklet
52,99 Euros @ Amazon.fr

Looks nice, i hope the set can come with the mouse mat etc as like a preorder bonus or something. Also, i hope the spine looks good and doesn't have AL branding all over it

I was a bit meh on that set and what it meant for the UK version, but then I realised it's a standard sized bd set and we're getting an ultimate Edition with both dvd and bd and an artbook!

At first I thought maybe FR + GB would be getting the same disks... Then I saw the release dates and decided unlikely. How involved in the FR dubbing are AL? I can't imagine territories that are more FR than FR that could have their dubs piggy-backed like the UK does to the US...?

Also interesting to compare turn around times. FR seem to have got stuff dubbed much sooner? Any particular reason for this?

As I understand it, French-language rights are often bundled together because there's only a few territories that speak it. (Quebec being the possible exception, but AL have had Quebec rights for FUNimation titles before.)

I don't know why French dubs come out sooner, but might it be more to do with the disc releases? French dubs being done specifically for France, which is Region B, and English dubs being done for America, which is Region A. Obviously, you'd let France release it's discs slightly earlier, so as a result the dubs are probably done earlier?

So are you saying France is the primary market for French Dubs...? Presumably meaning that AL FR produce (or get someone to produce) the FR dub themselves...?

If that is true then I'd find that particularly interesting as (potentially) it means AL have experience in producing dubs. This _could_ open up the possibility (at least make it less unlikely?) that AL could produce English dubs for (perhaps) more obscure / older stuff that never got dubbed (or that the US companies don't plan to dub...)...

Yes, I would have thought that would be fairly obvious, since they're rarely included on US releases. :p

I can't confirm about their French activities, but AL have been dubbing some of the films they have acquired in English, hence Stephanie Sheh's appearance on one of their podcasts, she's co-writing/directing AL's dub for Mai Mai Miracle. I'm told they normally ship it out to one of the big American companies (it's either NYAV Post or Bang! Zoom but I can't remember which), but I've never seen official confirmation of that...

Don't forget they sorted out the English dub for 009 Re:Cyborg with NYAV Post as well as Giovanni's Island and Patema Inverted. And I think they're producing an English dub for Psychic School Wars also. As for Miss Hokusai, well I'm curious about that one.

So did FUNimation use AL's dub (for 009 Re:Cyborg) then?

Yep, that's why their release was delayed for quite a while (though it got to shelves before the UK version did).

Weird. I would not have pegged FUNi as the "using another company's dub" type of distributor. In fact, if they did have to delay their release I'm surprised they didn't try and hijack the dub production...

Not sure how Junko being in the show is a spoiler. I think the fact you're highlighting her being a spoiler is more of a spoiler than if you said nothing at all
