Interesting to see the FMA LE against the regular edition... The art looks identical so if it is correct that the LE won't be chipboard it means they are asking people to pay TWICE the price to not end up with a blue bar at the top??? Something seems off here...

That's sort of standard Funimation LE practise, i believe AoA does the same with their volume-style releases, only they tend to chuck in leaflet sized 'deluxe booklets' and art-cards as well. The FMA Collector's Edition though.... Looks sexy but i wish they were doing it for Brotherhood instead of the 03 FMA, i much preferred FMAB.

Still, Funimation... WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GONNA PUT UP BLACK LAGOON CE FOR PRE-ORDER HUH?

I was referring to the fact that there have been rumours it is not a chipboard LE only cardboard - far from standard practice for their LE's...

GOD EATER's cover serves as a perfect review of the series; all about that silly gun*, no characters worth putting on the cover.

GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There and Prison School are the only two where the entire package looks good and is a fair representation of the show.



*It's specifically mentioned in the show that to rapid fire with that gun, you hold the safety as you fire...

Well that's a bummer. Still a little tempted to import. Now I'm just going to have to hope a UK or US release isn't too far away. Although considering it hasn't even finished airing yet I doubt it will see a release until at least mid to late 2016.

Sentai has the US rights so they'll end up releasing it in Fall 2016 at the earliest.

I didn't realise the rights had been sorted already for the US. Glad to know it's even getting put out in English at all, I didn't even know that. I hope they do a nice CE for it.

Overlord's art work looks insane, I wish Anime Limited could get hold of the show and give it a UK release as the art they have to work with is soo nice. Seeing as it's on Animax, It could be with KAZE right?

I wouldn't worry about Overlord. Funimation sub-licensed the streaming rights to them much like what they did last year with Noragami, Ping Pong the Animation and couple others. I'm sure someone in the UK, most likely Anime Limited, will pickup Overlord.
