Couple of those covers look suitably fanservicey for Manga to pick up, seeing how well High School DxD did...

I feel it's pretty obvious that MVM will end up getting these at some point. :?

High School DxD New was released early for some folks over in the states and they have provided some pics of the Limited Edition set:

As the back and shop info states (and much like Season 1), the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack should be Region B and 2 compatible for UK players.

Someone definitely needs to grab the Madoka movies ASAP - it's just sitting on a pot of cash otherwise. Not that I imagine Madoka will dim as a franchise anytime soon, but at least get the films out while they're still relatively recent.

Luckily, I already own Aniplex of America's import sets of the Madoka movies, but I do agree that they need to be picked up here.

If I remember correctly, Manga UK have stated that their release of the series didn't meet their expectations. To be honest, I actually ordered the U.S. Limited Edition releases of the series, because of all of the amazing extras and the fact that they were released earlier. I also remember comments being made that Aniplex USA weren't interested in only selling Rebellion, but rather, they were selling the movies as a trilogy, but Manga UK weren't interested in Beginnings or Eternal.

I too went with the US Limited Edition for the TV series and JP Limited Edition for the Movies. The OST and extra content is amazing.

It's a shame that Manga doesn't want Beginnings and Eternal because to me they're really good recap movies with only some minor problems in the first film (Mami's character development).

From what I'm presuming, no one's licensed the trilogy because they're waiting for Rebellion to be dubbed and the cost of licensing to lower perhaps? Didn't MVM say movies were more expensive to license than shows?

I imagine once Rebellion is dubbed it will become a much more attractive concept to Manga - maybe they'd do all three in a bundle-up box set, Japan permitting?

We're talking Aniplex. They'll want each movie cut into 15 minute chunks and sold separately, in Limited Edition Blu-ray boxsets for £50 apiece.
Don't forget the postcards. :p

Manga will probably wait ages to release it. Then much like the TV series they'll shove out cheap, low quality, barebones releases with added nonsensical chapter markings and other defects.
Personally I'm perfectly happy with my JP BDs for the movies as I found the dub to be pretty meh.

Madman just released the Madoka Movies so either Manga or MVM could have split the cost with them.

That's true but the Blu-rays are limited so once they're gone, they're gone. Same goes for the Blu-rays from Aniplex USA. If Manga does license the movies I'm not sure how it will be handled.

I imagine if Manga were to release them they would hold out for a 'value' offering that's in keeping with their usual pricing point for movies.

Considering that Aniplex recently released a dubbed version of the movies, I'm assuming that they will release a Rebellion dub sometime next year, which is probably what MangaUK are waiting for.

By that time though, I wonder how many people will actually care though.
