UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

PlayUSA might still play ball and send the whole series, for £18. You never know...

Not a great show, but that's only my opinion. It'll do if you have a zombie deficiency.

Look on the bright side: If you ignore the rushed, badly presented opening episode, as well as pretty much the entire second half, it IS a great show. (...but that's my opinion.)

Here's a blog link to reviews for Blassreiter (more like rant) and Innocent Venus, since both come recommended by yours truly: http://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=83237

Aion also-also approves of this: http://www.playusa.com/DVD/Region_1/3-/ ... oduct.html

Tide-Line Blue sounds like it ends with nothing whatsoever resolved, but the first episode goes through so much it's worth buying, just for that. War and underage child-birth, right at the start of an impressive looking anime? Gotta love attempts at drawing in fans from the get-go.

PlayUSA really hates you...

Either that or they really are shutting up shop for good.

Tide-Line Blue

availability: Sold Out

To make up for that, here's Anime-On-Line's deal of the week

Slayers Season 1 Boxset £7.99

And the first deal, Witchblade 1-3 is still at £2.99

Last week's Love Hina Specials is back up to £21.99 though.

Are the MVM Slayers collections thinpak sets? I'm half tempted even though I hate Slayers and have owned and sold the series twice ^_^;

Base.com have the excellent Basilisk for £12.95 and the (probably) somewhat less excellent Burst Angel for the same price. That's cheaper than I remember them being last time they were linked in this here thread.

It says boxset on the MVM website, and it's obviously being cleared for the Complete Collection re-release in January, which has a helpful 4 discs graphic on the cover, which I guess means that they will be packaged into an Amaray at that point.

Blassreiter has been like that ever since pre-orders were removed. But it can still be ordered; it's just listed as OOS. Since it's still very much in print...

As for Tide-Line, it was £17.99 and still available, yesterday. I guess they only had one copy left and someone actually reads me. Probably Maes.

One store selling a new copy for £17.95 + postage.

Btw, SS + Wherehouse have yet another 20% off code up until the 16th or so, and...

One last thing: a great Christmas Japanese cartoon, if Disney are in short supply. It's like Disney's animation + a slightly more childish version of Romeo & Juliet.

In that case, I like you a lot more, now. First you help me get Life 9, then you actually buy something I link to. Superb.

Would you be interested in filling the currently vacated position of Aion's Internet Waifu? The former title holder was far less agreeable.

So, does the discs icon mean that it's packaged in an amaray case?
I might start a packaging thread sooner or later

Ace, if I've got a couple of quid left over by the time I'm done Christmas shopping I might pick up 009-1 and the couple of other things I was considering.

Thank you, Reevo - IGPX has been ordered!

I was always curious about that show, and for less than £6.00 all in, how could I say no.

I already have Big O, but for that price, y'all would be dumbums to pass it up. Go gittum!
