UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Sounds like the mistake is with the customs office. I had the same thing happen to me way back when the customs limit was £18 in the UK. I ordered something that was £18.99, but with a voucher it came down to £17.99. The label on the box reflected the original price and I got hit by customs. I opened a case with Royal Mail, presented my proof of purchase and a copy of my bank statement to show what the original cost was, and I got the customs fee back, unfortunately they kept the handling fee, but it was something at any rate.
 
Well what ever the case the truth is that i'm actually liable to pay the VAT. With postage's the orders that i made were way above the limit.

There's really no way to wiggle out of not paying if i want the items because you can't get order information that doesn't include the postage's from right stuff.

From Madman's site other hand you can get order information that doesn't have shipping marked.

Na its alright, I ordered Lucky Star from Japan fully expecting customs to get me. It was a nice juicy price for them to make a quick buck so I knew it would be coming.
 
My RIghtstuf parcel has finally started processing through customs, and it is now "awaiting customs charging". I hope they've listed the correct prices and not the pre-sale prices :hmm:

I enjoyed girls und panzer, if only they didn't use CGI as much... or less dodgy CGI.

Just noticed you can get Space Dandy Season 1: Collectors Edition for £8.90 + £1.26 postage from Amazon. The seller is zavviOutlet though, still £10.16 is the cheapest for the set I've seen. I don't think anyone here hasn't got this set already though.

I need some help. I don't know whether to get Turn A Gundam parts 1 & 2 from the rightstuf sale. I know AL will be releasing it but the price is pretty good to pass up. Or should I get Patlabor part 1 & 2 on blu ray (can't afford all parts) to give it a try.

Oracles of the forum I need your insight.

Get Patlabor. Turn A will come out over here, Patlabor won't, plus Patlabor has a deeper discount.
Might want to check out the movies first for Patlabor if you haven't already.
 
sniper definitely covered what my response would have been, too. ∀ Gundam is great, but you're more likely to find an acceptable time to purchase it in the future I think, compared to Patlabor.

What's higher than "yes"? I was *this close* :holds fingertips together: to importing the JP discs, but by the time I caught up with the show and realized how much fun it was I'd already missed the first volume and I don't like going back and picking up releases after the fact.

So i contacted the rightstuff and got a ****** typical ****** response that felt like they didn't even read what i wrote.

They did say though that if i return the items they would deduce the "return charges" from the refund of the items. Most likely it would mean that they would try to charge me that 20 euros back that it cost these two orders to be shipped.

**** this store. Doesn't USA have any sort of law that prevent's a company from charging for this sort of thing. Isn't it usually customers right to return items without cost.
