Thanks for the link (good god that dudes annoying though....). I was under the impression that the set he unboxed didn't have the subtitles (I also much prefer the set I linked) but with that said...

Is it really that bad? Might just pick up a DVD set from somewhere, I'm sure I've seen a nice FLCL DVD set somewhere before but passed because it was DVD. Put the extra money towards the 4K version of Your Name....

I've got MVM's releases, and the BD is the US disc. It's watchable, but there are upscale artefacts, such as smearing and loss of detail that will annoy nitpickers. It's watchable enough except for episode 3 which is beset with aliasing. But... Lossless Pillows is very nice. But the DVD looks as good as your upscaling player will allow, which isn't bad at all, while it has an Easter Egg which the BD doesn't, a music and effects only track, which for my money is better than lossless audio. It's as close as you'll get to a soundtrack CD without buying a soundtrack CD.

As I've seen another using this artwork that was just an amaray case, the name blu-ray box makes me think it is the above set but I'm not 100%.... Just tempted to chuck it in with my Your Name order when I make it (which is when I decide which version to get....).

I have this set (from the purchase link you provided), has both the dub and subs.

It's a digipak that looks exactly like the picture you posted, can take some pictures of mine if you want to see something specific?

I was actually just looking for confirmation that it is indeed the same set, which I now have so thanks. Just gotta decide if it's worth it considering the transfer isn't great (which is really depressing as FLCL is so good ;_; ).

Absolutely, it's a superb set with a great transfer and a nice chunky booklet as well. The series itself is also really damn good!
 
Anyone able to shed any light on what the Funimation release of Record of Lodoss War looks like packaging wise? Only finding very limited pictures.
 
Someone posted some pics of it over in the blu-ray forum ... and there seems to be some probems with it. Guess the Code Geass rubbed of on Record of Lodoss War
 
Anyone ever had trouble with madman? Emauled them regardin mess up with my ordr and just got a reply sayin they will resend the missin items
