The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a thread)

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

I have a question, Attack on Ttitan is worth to watching ? I've been seen it before but I stop at episode 5 or 6 because it is too depressed to watch. But i think about I should watch it again.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Yeah It's quite good. I didn't find it too depressing tbh but I guess it depends on what your standards are.

I have a question about everyone's anime collections (and manga too, if you collect them too)

Basically, how do you keep your collection in check in terms of space?

Do you chuck stuff out when you're bored with it/know you'll never watch/read it again, or do you keep absolutely everything?

Do you have to have everything within easy access in shelves etc/organised - or do you put stuff away in boxes if you don't use it regularly?

I'm the type that never really chucks anything away - and my room is kind of spilling at the seams with stuff - and that's from only really collecting for the past two years or so. Especially when it comes to manga, how do you possibly find room to keep it all, as it seems like people on here buy quite a lot on a weekly basis?

I move it bit by bit to my parents' house :p I own over 1200 volumes of manga. I'd guess about 3/4 of it is at my parents'.
I've sold a fair bit over the years, but not nearly as much as I've bought. Stuff I think I'll never read again/has been dropped by the English publisher, mostly. I've not missed any of it except 1 series, which I've rebought.
In an ideal world, everything would be in alphabetical order on shelves. In the real world, things are shelved based on where they fit.

I have a couple of shelves and a storage box, if I've not watched something for a while and it isn't one of my favorites, I'll move it from the shelf into the box, if I can't fit it into the box, I'll sell stuff from the box until I can. It's helped me keep it down so far.

Selling stuff is heart breaking, sure, but I try to only get rid of the stuff that's likely going to be replaceable for a while. I use the funds I made selling stuff to re-buy stuff I might have sold off earlier (this very rarely happens though), if I ever feel like watching it again.

I've also taken to buying a couple of replacement cases and combining stuff where possible. E.g. Black Lagoon has 2 series and an OVA release, I bought a case that could hold 3 discs, stuck the OVA artwork under the second series artwork and put the OVA disc in the same case as the season 2 discs. Reducing the space Black Lagoon takes up by 1/3, and not really hampering my ability to find anything.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Anyone know how many episodes Durarara!! x2 will have? I read that there will be 30+ episodes and the series will air in January again in July of the same year and again in January 2016. Can anyone confirm?

We don't know the episode count, but it's been stated since the project was unveiled that there would be three parts - Sho, Ten and Ketsu, and if I remember correctly that will cover the entire first arc of Durarara.

That's good to hear, is the first arc of durarara the first 13 Light novels?

Is kurokos basket ball season 3 on Crunchyroll?

Nope, but it's on Daisuki (Free and HD).

Crunchyroll did confirm that they are pursuing the show (since they have the first two seasons) so it's going to be like Monogatari series: Second Season in terms of availability by the looks of it.

What's Monogatari second season's availability then?

It was exclusive to Daisuki for a month (give or take) then it headed over to Crunchyroll for everyone else to enjoy.

Personally I'm watching KuroBas on Daisuki because I cannot wait for it. The player isn't quite as good on my setup, but it's ok.

I have a quick question if anyone can answer;

Is it possible to purchase the larger polythene bags that normally come with jp box set releases (e.g. GitS SAC/Garden of Sinners)?

I've had a quick look around the net to no avail, just wondering if anyone had tried before and had any luck?

Thanks!

You mean like comic book bags, that sort of thing?

Yeah, something like that. I found sellers on ebay that do standard Amaray sized bags to stop steelbooks getting scratched up. But nothing that would cover a larger art box.

It's not too important, but it'd be nice to try and find covers for the few boxes I own that don't have one.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Is there any difference between the Funi and Manga releases of DBZ: Battle of Gods?

I seem to recall reading something was different...but I don't know if I just imagined it.

Funimation's release has better audio (for the Japanese language that is, the English audio in the UK release is on-par) and has extras that are not stripped off the Blu-ray*.

*Like Attack on Titan, the extras were put on DVD exclusively to the Collector's Edition.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

I noticed Freezing:Vibration is out in North America soon and having seen the first season was wondering if anyone will bother licensing this for the UK? I was thinking the UK companies might regard it as too much hassle due to the problematic episode 6 which I could see the BBFC having an issue with. Bit hard to sell a series if one of the episodes has been hacked about.
