Just got to hope Hive honour the mispriced preorders now.
Oh hell, I forgot to put in that order
Still, I hope they do for everyone who ordered. Bargain.
I wasn't going to, but as it was only £20, decided to go for it.
So, Hiroyuki Takei turned down an offer of a new Shaman King anime adaptation, because the original cast and music would not be used. It's worth noting that Yuko Sato, who voiced Yoh Asakura, doesn't appear to still be in voice acting any more.
That's would love a new SHaman King adaption that isn't murdered by 4Kids.
Wasn't completely murdered by 4Kids surprisingly, they cut out less in Shaman King than they had in other series. Still crap though.
J-Novel Club have just added In Another World With My Smartphone.
I, uh, feel like this could be KonoSuba-like and enjoyable from that angle but otherwise I'm disappointed that we have another 'stuck in a fantasy world' story when J-Novel have access to better.
Unfortunately there have been a glut of those released recently in Japan, enough so that one of the young writer awards is refusing entries of stories along those lines.
It's Shousetsuka ni Narou that's flooded with the things, and almost all HJ Novels and Overlap Novels titles originate as web novels hosted on that site. A disproportionately large number of Overlap Bunko and several HJ Bunko titles also originate from there. And that's all the labels that J Novel Club currently have access to, so it's not much surprise that these are the sorts of titles they're picking up.
Outside of titles from that website these isekai novels really aren't all that common at all. It's just that there are several labels that have started up specifically in order to publish novels hosted on the site over the years (Monster Bunko was the first, although Hero Bunko was getting a lot of their series from the site before this), and several other labels have picked up titles from there as well.
Another info dump from Crunchyroll on how shows are watched
Most hilarious has to be HxH Magias Acadamy Ataraxia being the most watched on a phone, the series was straight up soft porn.
Highly edited, not worth watching soft porn, I might add. (So I hear).
Dropped it after the A part of the first episode myself, have better things to waste my time on than that rubbish.
Yes, it, TMNT and Ultimate Muscle showed that 4Kids were quite capable of adapting shows perfectly fine and without incident (Fast Foreward and Return to the Sewars nonwithstanding)
I'll fight you.
I thought it was brilliant but couldn't handle the censorship levels. Day one BD purchase if it appears in the US (or here).
Not even kidding.
(It was the heavy editing that made it not worth watching...so I hear)
Meant that for the adaptation, not the series I liked Shaman King. Actually prefer the character names used in Ultimate Muscle compared to Kinnikuman 2, e.g the giant phone wrestler is called Phone Man in Kinnikuman 2, but called Misdial in Ultimate Muscle.
No I mean I will fight you on the matter of Shaman King dub being bad.
