The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

I'm fond of both too, I like the theme of gender/sex not really being important when it comes to love so I'll take a good romance between any mix.

I could be wrong about this but I'm under the impression that Citrus leans more towards the Yaoi tendency of having one more aggressive partner and the other starting out seemingly unwilling but growing stronger and more sure as the series goes along. I should really get around to reading it but I find so little time for Manga these days (mostly because I'm watching anime instead, so I guess an anime version is handy).

Viewster added a couple of Yuri titles recently. I'd strongly recommend Aoi Hana (not just to Yuri fans, it's got some great relationship stuff/romance in general), the only downside being that it'll leave you wanting more (the ending is satisfying but in some ways the wider story is just getting started).

With a name like "Ten Count", I'd have expected it to involve Boxing, Wrestling or some sort of physical sport. Apparently it's about a guy with a fear of germs and his counsellor. Sounds interesting.

It's very good. It's him about doing a ten point plan of conquering his fear of germs hence the name.

The UK releases still have quite a way to catch up. Interesting it's coming to an end as it seems like it still sells very well in Japan - but suppose it's better to end on a high.

Because I will go on about it at any and every possible opportunity, it seems the forthcoming World Trigger spin-off, previously titled Fugitives from Another World, is no longer actually a spin-off...

New key art and character descriptions, accompanied by it's renaming to "World Trigger: Fugitive Arc" seem to suggest it's now just a second series of World Trigger, albeit not based on the manga. It's première has been confirmed for October 11th. This is an unusually quick turnaround given, when it was first announced in July, not even the cast knew what the hell it was...

I'm not sure whether to be shocked by Rokka's awful sales or not - either way, it's a massive, massive bomb.

It's a shame really as the show started really well, but the animation quality took a nose dive after the early eps and personally I thought the ending was utterly disappointing and one of the biggest cop outs ever.

It's looking like Symphogear is going to be the real big seller this season - it's preordering extremely well on JP Amazon, and I'd expect it to do around 15-20k on the first volume. Overlord and GATE seem to be the next most popular after it in terms of the Summer Season.

Tracking for Rokka was awful. It was known last week that it wouldn't do well, probably under 1k, but less than 600 is awful. That explains why CR was desperate to push it at every possible opportunity.

I feel vindicated in my feelings about Rokka now; I was starting to think I was the only one who wasn't captivated by it. Guess it's not looking good for a second season to explain that ending or have them actually start their quest at all.

It doesn't look as though it will even have big non-Oricon sales to balance things since it doesn't seem to have much in the way of must-have bonuses at specialist stores. A shame as the designs are very pretty.
