Patema is already up on the shop so Andrew can't be talking about that.

If AL is handling UK Time of Eve shipments, that would explain why it's taking so blimmin' long. It might have been an idea to have left that task to a someone who isn't up to their neck in other matters.

Could be as late as "next week", ugh.

Should be today it goes out actually, preparing batch shipments now and actually what took so long was customs on that front - the fun packed little creatures they were!

AP

So Time of Eve will be going up on your shop for sale?? Awesome.

Fantastic news, looking forward to receiving it - Oh I can imagine....

I have a slightly stupid hypothetical question for you Andrew.

If another company never picked up the streaming rights for a show when they licensed the TV series, hypothetically, could you go back and get them?

And, lets say it came bundled with the actual licence but they're not doing anything with them, just sitting on them, could you do anything about that?

Really depends on the title and what made sense as the less rights you get, the less you can offer - on a vaguely related note I have a fun license announcement for MCM! Having to really try hard to keep my mouth shut, maybe only a big one to me though as I'm such a huge fan of the show...

Well, I was just curious, as I think if shows such as Fullmetal Alchemist/FMA Brotherhood, Death Note etc reached legal streaming services then it would do well for the industry as they are seem as good series to introduce people to....I currently direct said people to Funimation's youtube channel to watch them when I can, but them being sub only for the most part often leads people to find alternative ways to watch it, which is a shame.

So, was curious as to how that was to work. But to be honest, it's probably best to ignore my ramblings.

Good news about the licence though, any hints for us non-con goes to work out? ;-)

You're such a tease, minimum of one announcement to look forward to then :)

FUNimation has UK streaming rights for FMA (it is on their YouTube channel), Manga has UK streaming rights for FMA:B (they tried streaming it on their site, but messed it up) and Kaze has UK streaming rights for Death Note (it is on Animax).
FUNimation always used to put up a few dub episodes and the rest subtitled. This makes sense since streams were introduced in the first place as a legal alternative to fansubs, and people who want the dubs have been buying the discs all along. Most of their full series still on YouTube are from this era. When they introduced their Elite service they put everything up, but it's only available in the US/CA. I think they have more full dubbed series up on Hulu these days too, but again - only US.

If Manga UK aren't fully on Netflix with a lot of their back catalogue and top tier titles (ie. FMA and Death Note) by this time next year, I'll eat my hat. It's the way the industry is going and it will open it up massively.

Ah, how embarrassing. I was so focused on thinking of series that people always ask for online that I didn't put my brain in gear in terms of streaming rights.

Anime Limited License Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
Blimey. I did not see that coming at all. Magnificent show, easily the best thing Gonzo ever did (and will ever do).

I have the gorgeous shiny Geneon box + singles. AL will have to pull out all the stops if they're to create a package nearly as enticing... though I daresay I'll be buying the Blu-rays anyway for the improved video and subtitles.

Was looking through my Amazon orders and noticed Blood Lad has been pushed back till the end of the year, both versions: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... Ablood+lad

We knew Wings of Honneamise would be pushed back, now updated on Amazon for January 2015: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wings-Honneamis ... me+limited

--

Convenient timing for Blood Lad. I was considering cancelling my order due to all the things I gotta fund these next two months so I'm good with that new date.

Edit:

Looks like Amazon have revealed yet another Manga license, that being Samurai Bride : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samurai-Bride-C ... ertainment - Though it could be a KAZE one as they released the first season here.

Fairy Tail collection 3 is also up: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fairy-Collectio ... ertainment

Brilliant, I have the gorgeous Geneon release of Gankutsuou (which I'm keeping forever) but I'd buy a BD version for sure. I hope they can get the ED looking good as it's a bit of an encoding nightmare on the DVDs.
