It sounds like it will take a fair bit of shelf space up whatever it is.

Hmm...

- Could be something really random like Dragon Ball Z Kai (Jerome did ask whether we would want the Orange Brick HD sets or Kai).
- JoJo is out of the question which makes sense.
- It will obviously have to be a dubbed show (so shows with bilingual languages) so that out-rules titles like Hunter x Hunter for now.
- Can't be a flopped show - ie. Case Closed, Higurashi, Initial D
- Could be the A Certain franchise given that having Index, Index II, Railgun, Railgun S and the Index movie could fill up quite a lot of the shelf in a way.
- I have no idea but whatever it is must be a show they can't risk people wanting to import from the states due to it's popularity.

Hunter X Hunter...

Didn't someone hint that someone had the license for the new series at some point in the US?

Viz Media confirmed they were outbid for the show. All eyes point to Funimation though.

UPDATE -

Thought Gintama's second movie (Gintama: The Final Chapter - Be Forever Yorozuya) was the end? It's a title parody to the movie Space Battleship Yamato - Final Chapter Be Forever Yamato

Well, celebrating 10 years of the manga this year and three O's have been spotted on the serial of Weekly Shonen Jump. Bare in mind the manga hasn't ended and the anime pretty much stopped to avoid filler.

Everyone is guessing OOO = アニメ (Anime)

Didn't Jerome say on twiiter that he would rather slam his balls in a door than license sailor moon or cardcaptors? Maybe it's all Gundam? That is a very long shot though.

Wow, looks like Anime Limited has some damage control to do in France, according to some complaints on their Facebook page...

It is a sucky situation... but a small vindictive hateful part of me has a smidgen of glee at seeing the French get what Khazi have been giving us the last few years...

SO are the fans upset at what was unveiled at The Japan Expo, or have the sets actually released yety? Can't find them on amazon france.

Yikes, those Slam Dunk BD shots look bad. Q-TEC upscaling really is horrible, you can see the smudging everywhere.

This is where I think Animax and Manga should work together on some sort of cross promotion with each other.
Anime on Demand was supposed to be bring us stuff from the other UK licencees, and it never happened.

download to rent
Does ANYBODY seriously do this? It seems like the most pointless thing in the world. I understand subscribing to streaming sites for a monthly fee, I understand buying a digital copy, but paying (usually around half the cost of download to own) to download something to your computer just to watch it once? It seems like a very expensive way of watching things. Especially if you decide you'd like to see it a second time.
I've never done download-to-rent, but we have as a family rented films via VoD on our cable box, which is essentially the same thing really.

From a business perspective it must be really annoying when you've got a release a fair way into production and then the Japanese announce something better and which will prompt your customers to demand the better version and ignore the one you haven't even released yet. The downgrade to a complete (higher priced) set suggests they don't expect many casual purchases for this one. Did that occur before the Extended Edition was announced or after?
It's not just Japan, America have done it too - it's happened with Durarara, the Highschool of the Dead OVA and now also Mayo Chiki getting dubs after the UK release is underway or actually released.

I wish I'd saved that tweet (it was a drawer IIRC). Especially if they do somehow end up releasing it, which I do doubt to be honest, unless if was on behalf of Kaze.

I'm holding out for Ranma 1/2 blu ray sets. Or just as a crazy mental outside guess a UK release of Inu Yasha because why the hell not (but dear lord please be index / railgun)

Wow, that's a lot of long complaint posts.
